That's only two. PBC has a roster of bums that want to preserve their precious 0.

You saying it doesn't make it so. Ryan and Vergil are certainly talented and skilled enough to beat anyone in and around thier division no matter the promoters those fighters are aligned with. A year or two ago Mungia probably does lose to Mall but at this point in Malls career,I'm not so sure now.

If we're going off of track records of not wanting thier fighters taking "L's", its been Haymon himself that has declined very lucrative offers for several of his big fighters for that reason. Wilder,Jermall,Ortiz,Cruz and now Spence for instance.

Oscar's right here and shares a scenario we all should hope comes to fruition. Oscar giving in to PBC/Showtime to be the lead promoter but still having DAZN involved is him putting his money where his mouth is. It's no secret PBC is struggling financially,Haymon being more willing to cross promotion will no doubt lift that financial burden and will give his stable of fighters more dates than the 1 a year they're currently being given.

        Win Win for all involved.

I only mentioned those 2 because golden boy doesn’t have much more than that and that’s the promotion that’s being discussed in this article. Please tell me the current golden boy fighters that have really faced significant challenges because last I checked, Ryan has bailed on multiple significant fights and munguia has declined multiple titles shots along with Oscar ruining him facing Charlo. Pbc definitely has fighters who are protected also ( yet that guy I responded to said “only” pbc fighters are scared of taking L’s) meanwhil, Jermell charlo fought all comers at 154 and other than the Crawford situation, Spence has faced better competition than any current golden boy fighter, and likely all of them combined.

I’m aware that me saying it doesn’t make it so, which is why I used the word likely. Now while this is not limited to just golden boy, Oscar pretending as if he hasn’t been overly protective of his fighters is a joke, because he’s gone out of his way to not make fights during his time as a promotor. So until I see differently, I will continue to be skeptical and doubt Oscar as being genuine with almost anything he says.

Fuq Oscar. You spent the better part of the last ten years trashing Al and PBC. I've been saying on this site that Oscar cannot make a move in boxing without the blessing of Al. Oscar fuqed the Mungia v Jermall fight up and he will never make that type of money ever. Ryan v Tank and Virgil v PBC-147 is all you got. Your AA class has finally convinced to sober up. You brought a frivolous 500 million dollar lawsuit against Al which was subsequently laughed out of court. You have been all over the internet spewing your hate while Haymon moves in silence. Haymon cut HBO off and they went out of the boxing business. Haymon refused to work with Dazn/Hearn and they failed in America. Al does not need Oscar, Oscar needs Al. Haymon realizes that he really only needs to deal with Bob. So fuq U Oscar. Fuq your fishnets, fuq your spatulas and fuq your hookers. Al does not want to contaminate his brand with your brand.

You are seeing diffently,he's conceded on nearly every aspect of negotiations with his star pupil,Ryan, against a fighter that nearly everyone here says he has no chance against. He would've done the same with Mungia/Mall had PBC/SHOWTIME been open to a co-promotion of some sort. If they're were able to do with Ryan/Tank no reason they couldn't done it here.

Honest qustion as i'm drawing a blank here, what other fighters has Oscar been overly protective of and what fights has he himself prevented?

April is going to be lit, full of good fights. Ortiz will take his ass whooping, and we'll see if Stanionis will fight Boots.
