Ppl are abusing that law that allows u to sue for old sex crimes. I know someone who got a lawyer and sued Riverside Church in NYC and said the deceased basketball coach ******ed him over 30 years ago. He bought a notebook and wrote a fake diary back dated to that time, detailing all the alleged abuse, and they settled out of court b4 trial and gave him like $200,000. The problem is, he's just a heroin loving dope fiend who never played any organized basketball a day in his life, couldn't make a lay up if you paid him to, and didn't know the deceased coach at all. He got the idea from another guy, who did the same thing previously, a guy who actually played for Riverside.
So a lot of ppl are sitting around broke as hell and and coming up with schemes to try to get some drugs. Or to pay back rent. They should really put some kind of common sense safeguards into these laws.Comment

The majority of the women who accused him got nothing except people calling them liars like everyone here is doing.
Some of the cases he was convicted on, some he settled, some he was acquitted, some no charges were filed. Everything from violent **** to forcibly kissing without consent to grabbing asses in nightclubs to physical abuse (some of which we only heard about because Mike himself told the stories in his book or on his podcast).
When a woman accuses Tyson and no charges are filed, y'all call her a liar.
When a woman accuses Tyson and Tyson settles the case for money, y'all call her a liar.
When a woman accuses Tyson and Tyson is convicted by a jury of his peers, y'all call her a liar.
When Tyson literally tells the entire world in his own words what he did, y'all still call the woman a liar.
Wake the hell up. I could buy that maybe ONE woman falsely accused Tyson for spurious reasons. But over a dozen? In multiple states, in multiple decades, accusing him of crimes of varying severity, some of which he went to jail for, and some of which he admitted to himself? And you still give him the benefit of the doubt?
well this one wants money and has basically zero downside for making the claims, zero repercussions for lying. literally everything is stacked in her favor, she even gets to remain anonymous. you are quick to assume its true with zero proof or even any details of the claimComment

There are a lot of bad people out there who abuse the system for the sake of money. This is thanks to a new law in New York that allows people to sue for sexual assault no matter how long ago the alleged incident occurred. I understand wanting to protect women but this law makes it come at the expense of innocent men. All it does is encourage women to make up lies about a man with some money and hope he just settles out of court so she can get paid. Truly de****able.Comment

Hatred will cause your untimely end.Tyson has been accused of ****, sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, and/or simple assault/battery by no fewer than a dozen women in four different decades and people still think he did nothing wrong. Ridiculous. I hope he dies penniless and unhappy. In his own book he admitted to throwing cinder blocks off the roof of his house at his then-wife because she didn't like the cookies he had baked; the police had to come get him down with a net like a freaking animal. And he told this story happily, as if the woman were the unreasonable one. Scumbag.Comment
