Golovkin is still a premier fighter, he has been a member of this specific group for a long time. I think he has a bigger following, and has made more of a impact than Lomachenko, especially in the professional ranks
The primer fighters from the Eastern European regions are, Golovkin, Lomachenko, Usyk. I don't quite think Bivol has joined them, well? He is not acting like he has i.e selling himself out with a potential 168 pound fight vs Alvarez 'Unnecessary fight, but still? I understand that if he wins under such circumstances, he would then potentially become a primer fighter.
Depending on what region your are from the world? Boxing will have a different fighter, who people in that demographic recognize as the premier fighters.
Anthony Joshua and Canelo Alvarez are the most global premier fighters. Tank Davis is very specific, and targets a demographic 'Floyd Mayweather Junior has promoted him very well, there is always a distinct theme to his fights' I really enjoyed Romero vs Davis, that fight and build up was similar to Malignaggi vs Broner.
Since the retirement of Muhammad Ali & Mike Tyson, there have been no fighters who have been able to duplicate their universal reach. It has always been a group of primer fighters in every era since etc.
You have people on this forum who are fanatically about certain fighters 'Some of these fighters, I personally don't invest much in their careers or fights'.
