Boxing question was Wilder vs Fury 3 a KO or TKO? Some say it's a KO but the ref stopped it so shouldn't be a TKO?

I've noticed usually when the guy goes down like that and the ref calls it because it looks like he's out for the count they call it a KO. It's a little different from the ref stepping in between them to stop it.MikeyMike100 likes this.

Maybe both. Wilder was KO'd but the official ruling is a TKO because the ref didn't count him out.MikeyMike100 likes this.

Boxrec lists a KO even though no ten count was performed and Wilder was conscious on the canvas. Yet they'll wave George who is clearly up while Zack Clayton is waving off the fight with 2 sec left in the round, another official KO. Ali_Foreman_photo_Zac_Ref.jpg

The Great Nash believes it should be simplified. You get stopped, it's a KO, no questions asked. I mean, on records, it's points wins and knock outs, not points wins, TKO's, and KO's. Nash out.MikeyMike100 likes this.
