  • TKO vs KO

Boxing question was Wilder vs Fury 3 a KO or TKO? Some say it's a KO but the ref stopped it so shouldn't be a TKO?

I've noticed usually when the guy goes down like that and the ref calls it because it looks like he's out for the count they call it a KO. It's a little different from the ref stepping in between them to stop it.

Maybe both. Wilder was KO'd but the official ruling is a TKO because the ref didn't count him out.

I get what youre saying but look at when Manny got ktfo, ref waived it after realizing he was sleep. Wilder was done. Ref waived it off as in he was just ktfo

Official ruling was KO not TKO

            - - Boxing interchanges KO and TKO without concern about definitions, one more reason fans flee the sport because it is so poorly regulated.

Boxrec lists a KO even though no ten count was performed and Wilder was conscious on the canvas. Yet they'll wave George who is clearly up while Zack Clayton is waving off the fight with 2 sec left in the round, another official KO. Ali_Foreman_photo_Zac_Ref.jpg

The Great Nash believes it should be simplified. You get stopped, it's a KO, no questions asked. I mean, on records, it's points wins and knock outs, not points wins, TKO's, and KO's. Nash out.

Officially down as a KO. He was knocked out even if ref waved it out he waved it off correctly. Wilder was KOd hard face first. Even after he got up he was wobbling to his corner with help. This was the end that Breland saved him from yet he sacked the man who had been there with him for years because he was looking out for him, on top of that even accusing him to be part of the conspiracy.

I guess that settles it then. I didn't remember the official ruling but Wilder did look out.
