I know people claim he’s broke and stuff but I genuinely don’t believe he needs the money. I think he’s set for generations. I think the one thing he craves is attention and this is his way of getting his fix.

I agree, man. It’s easy money and you get some spotlight. Just cuz you are willing to make more (easy) money doesn’t mean that you’re broke.

Yeah I don’t think his motivation to do these sort of events has anything to do with money. I think it’s purely because he still needs the spotlight and can’t let it go.

I think it’s quite sad, like him or not Floyd is an ATG and can be put into conversations with any of the boxing greats. Instead, he’s associating himself with these YouTuber influencer clowns in some desperate attempt remain relevant.

Floyd is profiting off his name just like many great athletes. Michael Jordan’s been retired over two decades and still profits off his name. Same is the case with Foreman with his grills and too many others to mention.

Nobody criticizes those guys one bit.

When did Ali and Louis fight YouTubers? People make this same nonsense comparison every time. Louis needed the money and Ali only fought what? 3 exhibitions? The NHL Player, the NFL player and the MMA/Pro Wrestler. It’s hardly comparable to associating yourself with these absolute clowns Mayweather is fighting.

It’s sad to see any fighter continue past their prime, but Mayweather has gone from putting on a clinic against Pacquiao or Canelo to getting his hat stolen by Jake Paul. It’s sad to see.

The easiest way to look at it is this:
Does Mayweather need the money? No.
Does Mayweather need the attention? Yes.
His motivation is obvious.

It’s just not comparable. It was a nonsense comparison.

Joe Louis had well documented financial problems. The vast majority of fighters from that era did. It’s another reason that comparison is so ******.

Whichever way you want to spin it, seeing a great like Floyd associate himself with these clowns is embarrassing. It’s embarrassing for him and for the sport.
