Comments Thread For: Beterbiev-Yarde Is A True Puncher vs. Puncher Clash

By Corey Erdman - Late in 2022, a video clip circulated around social media by Queenberry's Dev Sanhi showed light heavyweight champ Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde using the carnival punching power machine. Like millions of macho folks at fairgrounds across the world and those inebriated by booze and testosterone have done in the past, the two pros swung with all their might and rattled the machine. Yarde's score read 989, impressive enough

Yarde was not able of knocking a fading Kovalev out, I wonder how he will avoid being chewed and spat out by Beterbiev.

On the other hand, if Callum Johnson managed to knock Beterbiev down pretty hard, I also wonder what happens if Yarde catches him with his best shot.

Flash knockdowns that happen to all the greats
Every knock-down came with a ko the other way
Marc Ramsay has made him a more relaxed fighter , patience is a virtue and Artur has mastered
He’s a much more fundamental boxer and then his power
Watch when Beterbiev touches him , see the cringing
It ain’t Yarde who will hurt Beterbiev

Sure, I do think the same. Technically speaking they're light years apart. That - more than sheer power - is the difference. Everybody depicts Beterbiev as a monster puncher, but they do not see the finesse, the small movements, the clever pressure.

This is a ****** article and a so-so piece of promotional propaganda. Everyone already know’s the only chance Yarde has is a “Punchers chance”

            He’s come a long way
Before he would maul and get caught a little to much mauling
Now he’s calm , enjoys touching all while cutting the ring
Right until he’s got you cornered and he begins his work

If Beterbieve kos Yarde [expected] and we still don't get Artur and Dmitry negotiations then we need a new set of promoters

                July/August that day will come
To much money to leave on the table especially the fighter who unifys
I believe Bivol/Beterbiev will garner much interest

Absolutely correct! Yarde can only get lucky with a punch and people forget what Beterbiev has done with the likes of Gvozdyk etc. I especially enjoyed seeing him batter Browne after his cheating headbutt. For me Beterbiev has the true heart of a champion

I think Yarde can hold his own. But I only see 2 likely scenarios:

-Yarde fights cautiously, defensively, and tries to survive. Simply hoping for a lucky punch. Beterbiev stalks him, jabs him, slowly figures him out, punishes him during the late rounds.

-Yarde figures "Screw it. He is hittable, I am all in." He comes in throwing leather, hoping to connect before Beterbiev can.

Either of those scenarios the fight is interesting. And unless Beterbiev fights poorly, they both most likely end with a TKO for Beterbiev. I can see a scenario Yarde is the first to survive if he employs the first strategy, but he will not win without taking chances. And taking chances against Beterbiev is ******.
