Jr. won the third pretty well , I thought the first two went Smith's way but they were close. I didn't speak or hear of anyone who thought it would end so quick and to Smith.I thought Jr, looked drained , maybe he was , maybe he wasn't .Six pounds on his frame certainly would have helped. People and especially promoters should understand to try and drain this kid as they did for the Benn match that never happened is just dangerous .Remember they wanted him right down at 157! Take nothing away from Liam he did a great job and I wanted him to win but if Chris feels he has anything to offer he should go up not down. The respect he showed Liam afterwards was commendable, Anthony Joshua should learn from that.

If the rematch happens, Eubank Junior has to agree to any terms of the split.

But? If the fight is called to be made at below 160 pounds, or with any sort of re-hydration clauses attached 'Eubank Junior cannot take the fight'.

I suspect training for the Benn fight, to make 157 pounds as well as adhering to a re-hydration clause has carried over into last nights fight.

That is the only way I can explain the sudden drop in durability.

Skill for skill, I think it was a close fight and both fighters were fighting well. I was quite neutral on the fight, and I am quite content that Liam Smith won 'It is a good win'.

But if I was backing one fighter to win before the fight, it was Chris Eubank Junior.

Same kind of build up for me as Khan vs Brook, 'I wanted Khan to win, but would of been content if Brook won before that fight'.

Impressive performance by Smith, the way he was not really pressuring and rushing in vs Eubank Junior. His style is straight forward, but there is a sophistication there 'Educated pressure'.

Note: There are some talks of the rematch being at 157 - 158 pounds, that is a the prefer weight limit Smith trainer wants. Now I don't think Eubank Junior should agree to that weight limit, the fight has to be at 160 pounds with no re-hydration clause. Smith is not going to have the same negotiation power vs Brook or Golovkin 'So that is something for his term to consider'.

And with that all those lucrative fights with Eubank being the A side is gone or any strong negotiation power. Goodbye to a GGG fight, all that A side talk about Benn is gone and the only profitable fight would be a rematch that he would have to come to terms.

He was way too confidant in that fight throwing many uppercuts from far away, he thought he was in controlled and was mentally put asleep because he thought he had the fight under control.

I suspect that he was looking past Smith and maybe a let down cosidilation fight since he didn't get Benn after all that fanfare.

Eubank Jr. deserves no pity. He's an arrogant opportunist who's been fishing for smaller fighters: agreeing to fight a WW in Benn, name-dropping Crawford and Brook, and then fighting former LMWs in both Liam Williams and Smith. He signed off on the weight and paid the consequence. He should've kept his ass at SMW.
