Some of the answers are purely driven by hate. Human nature is incredible!

Yarde is Frank Warren's guy. Beterbiev is Bob Arum's guy. You don't need rocket science to figure this out.

Bob Arum, "Bivol is a boring fighter, fight with my boy won't sell." Frank and Bob are buddies.

Poor Eddie. People will always find reasons to hate on the guy.

This is why I say Eddie is steering clear of Beterbiev
And what about when both Eddie and Bivol said they wanted Beterbiev next, and Bob Arum said, "Nah, that fight wouldn't sell"

Going into the Zurdo fight, Bob said he wanted Beterbiev to face the winner after the Yarde mandatory. But then Whoricio swooped in with his Smith Mandatory BS.

Remember the boxer always has the last say who he will fight or not
And Bivol has said many times that the fight he wants most is the unification with Artur.

                Some people don't need reasons.

I was talking about before the Zurdo fight was made. Bivol was mad keen to fight Beterbiev, Hearn was up for it, then Arum vetoed it.

Going into the Smith fight? Arum was always going to make sure Beterbiev/Smith happened first.

Matchroom has Canelo, Bivol, Smith and Buatsi on the chess board. I used to think that Hearn was trying to steer Canelo away from Bivol, but now that the rematch may happen at 168, he'll make it in a heartbeat. Hearn wants to match Bivol/Buatsi while Canelo faces Ryder. Buatsi's inactivity has stagnated his development imho, and I think a Bivol match is Matchroom's way of throwing him into the deep end. If Buatsi happens to upset Bivol, then Hearn may look to make two consecutive Canelo fights in the UK (against Ryder/Buatsi). If Buatsi loses in a competitive effort, maybe we'll get Buatsi/Ramirez or Buatsi/Yarde after Beterbiev demolishes Yarde. Smith is the X-factor as he's in line for the Beterbiev/Yarde winner with the WBC/WBO. Matchroom will try and use Smith to get the WBC title without risking Bivol to Beterbiev. If Smith magically beats Beterbiev, then expect Smith/Bivol unification in the UK. Or.....TR may tell Beterbiev to drop the WBC belt.
