Does a full beard help a boxer chin durability ?

Some say it does thats why it is not allowed in amatuer boxing. Anyone speaking from experience does it help ?

They’re not allowed in amateur OR pro boxing. Pro commissions have just become lax.

It’s not so much about “padding” but it’s haedwr to clean a cut under a beard, easier to get infected, and it’s also a weapon if you’ve cut your opponent you can rub your corse beard on the wound to irritate it further.

Don't know how they have allowed it. I don't know about Cushioning a blow but it can somewhat hide where the tip of the chin actually is.

only if it's a black man's beard. cus it's wooly and bouncy with enough volume. legit like sponge

the thin whiskers white man beard doesn't help at all... only increases grip of the punch

There’s probably some scientific evidence out there that suggests it fractionally reduces the force of a shot but as Rexy said beards aren’t allowed due to infection control.

Naww man you cant be stepping inside the ring looking like james harden and sht. And it's gross too cuz after a few rounds like dudes look all disgusting with spits all hanging down man *** that. No fighters should be allowed to compete that way.

hahaha man that shyt don't help. I seriously doubt if Amir Khan grew a philly beard, he'd start walking thru punches.
