Manny Vs Cotto will speak loudly. . .

discussing Manny's legitimacy. With ODLaHoya and R. Hatton there are still questions. Oscar played himself big time, like in the worst way EVER and Hatton. Well, Hatton is a brawler and Pacquiao made him look akward and weird. This guy has NO technique. No finesse. Even Mayweather made Hatton look like a somewhat respectable fighter up until the KO. Manny completely ruined this guy. Hatton was trying to maul and couldn't. He was punching manny behind the head because he couldn't land anything else. He was all over the canvas. Hattons punches. Did you see his punches. Just off and nasty. We won't even talk about the KO. Sick. Sick I tell ya.
The bottom line here is even with those wins, Pacquiao is facing a legitimate welterweight. And he's a champion at that. Cotto has been broken down but he still has something left in the tank. How full it is only remains to be seen and Pacman will poke holes in his tank should Cotto provide the opportunity for him to.
I sure hope Cotto knows this is the biggest fight of his career. It's even bigger than he and Margarito. Because now, Cotto Vs Margarito is a thing of the past. Cotto Vs. Pacquiao is front and center and Pacquiao (with country in tow) would love nothing more than to walk away witht he win. The more devastating, the better.
It's little subtleties you have to pick upon. Cotto must not be taking any chances because he started training a bit early. Several weeks early I might add. Pacquiao says... "I know my body and 8 weeks is all I need for any fighter. Anything over eight weeks I feel I will be overtrained." If I were a fighter and were reading this I would think to myself. . . "He's not threatened by me and this would add even more motivation. And this is coming from the "Blown up Featherweight I might add."
So, we have a big fight coming up and I for one am very much looking forward to it. Pacquiao and Cotto. Pacquiao vs Cotto. After this fight we will all have a much clearer picture who is the man among men. Whom ever claims such status, it will only be real until the next fight. And this is why we want the best of the best matching up. Because this is so much fun.

      +1

The 140+ version of JMM wouldn't last 12 rounds against 140 MP

You doing the samethig that they are. And, that is overlooking the fight. Everybody is talking about Pac/Mayweather. You are talking about Pac/JMM 3 and Cotto/PBF. So literally everybody is looking past this fight. And, is a 50/50 fight. It shouldn't be overlooked at all.

I am not sure. At 135 JMM defense looked leaky. At 147 not only did he have no defense but was really really painfully slow. I think above 140 he would be target practice for Pac.

But he will always have trouble against a counterpuncher. If you think cause of his latest stoppage he is a bigger puncher he is not, its acumalation as he always has, he has carried his power up in weight. Counter punchers are counting that you go after them. Both fights between those two were very close (I give Marquez the 1st fight and Pac the 2Nd). So a much more better version of Marquez with other intangables makes the odds against Manny. Don't get me wrong I rather see Manny win but the odds are against him
How many times you saw Pac fighting a Counter puncher and he have that difficulty, hm? Only Marquez, and PBF is not JMM's style of counter punching. A forward fighter could be beatin' by a counter puncher but he would beat numbers of counter punchers in return, and vice versa! You can not simply generalize this things! Maybe PBF has a better counter punching style than JMM but along the road it varies some, and that variations might be tailored made for Pac!

LOL @ all the joygasms from all the Floyd stans over DLH's claims of what JMM said. Funny thing is just yesterday DLH was claiming PBF was 160+ and each and every one of you said nobody can believe anything coming from his mouth.
