imho, they want it to be known that they have best product (i.e PBF) so they could sell him better ...

Let's hope that Pac is not overlooking Cotto like many of you are. Anything Oscar says has to be taken with a grain of salt because Oscar first and foremost, is a promoter trying to promote a fight between Mosley-Floyd because he stands to make more from that (Mosley in his stable and Floyd having worked with him for his last couple) fight than a Floyd-Pac fight where he will have to work things out with Arum. Got to burn DLH up that the biggest fight this year will be a Bob Arum production and will undoubtedly be a much better fight than last weekend's debacle. If Pac gets past Cotto I believe Floyd beats Manny. I feel that this fight will unfortunately be extremely hard to make given Floyd/Arum mutual dislike of each other and Floyd's ego. Does anybody possibly see "Money" taking the smaller purse in this fight? That would go against everything he stands for lol!!!

lets face it...oscar de la hoya has no credibility anymore...this guy has been predicting fights left and right and he gets all of them wrong...i personally think golden boy fighters SUCK!! first oscar got demolished by manny...then pacquiao embarassed hatton...hopkins lost to calzaghe...marquez loses against floyd...victor ortiz quit against maidanna and paulie malignaggi really beat jaun diaz...

Pacquiao at 140 gives Marquez a worse beating than Floyd did which was a boring decision win despite probably weighing around 156 on fight night. Floyd could obviously beat Pac but this isnt the same Pac that faced Marquez both weight wise and even skilled wise. Pac will give Floyd all he can handle and more! Pac will get more respect when he KO's Cotto something that Floyd has never had the nuts to do!

You're absolutely right. Cotto is the first challenge that Pacquiao will face since he fought JMM. I'm just making the point that up until Cotto since then, he has fought nothing but two brand name fighters and a no-name punching bag who posed no threat. That is why I'm picking Cotto to beat Manny because even though I think there is a good case he could be 0-3 in all those fights with Mosley, Margarito, and Clottey he still tried his best to hang in there with them. I don't know how competitive Manny could be against those guys. But I'm not optimistic about it.
