      Is he an ATG ?

No one seems to GAF about him

I made a GGG dedication thread and it didn't go over well, I expect the same for this thread
Well we know considering the source its coming from a bad place.

Probably has something to do with him calling Floyd's bluff and Floyd coming up with excuses.

He was the last star built by the HBO machine. He was knocking out low level guys for years and was being positioned as the next Pacquiao.

He came up short with his biggest opportunity so I don’t see him as an ATG level guy but he’s one of the best of the last 10 years.

Not an ATG overall but IMO top 20 ATG Middleweight.

He'll obviously be judged on the fights he got at 35+ years old but you'd be lying to yourself if you said that the late 20's, early 30's version of Golovkin isn't a H2H monster. He's not an ATG but as far as MW goes, at his best, you know he's no cakewalk for anyone.

It depends on how you determine all-time great.

If you're talking top 20, I think definitely.

More defenses of the belt than anybody in history

It's not his fault he got robbed twice against Canelo & everyone else ducked him at his peak.

He's a 1st ballot hall of fame, top 10-20 middleweight.

He won the 1st 2 fights.

                    He's an ATG for sure.

Most All Time greats have a defining fight, a fight which they had to win, a pivotal fight in their career.

                      Mike Tyson had Berbick, Spinks.

Muhammad Ali had, Liston I & II, Foreman, Frazier II & III, Norton II, Spinks II.

Roy Jones Junior had, Hopkins, Toney, Ruiz.

You can go through many all-time great resumes, and understand what type of fight I am describing.

Golovkin vs Alvarez I, II & III was that type of fight for Golovkin. And controversial or not, unfortunatelyhe did not get the official win in any of those fights.

But overall as a Champion, without a shadow of a doubt Golovkin is a all-time great. The man is still the IBF & WBA World Middle Weight Champion right now.

And I still believe, that there is a defining fight out there for Golovkin.

                      Golovkin vs Jermell Charlo.
