And apologies I been relatively absent the last few days - I had a gruelling weekend but I'm now apparently a BBBoC accredited boxing for fitness coach courtesy of the Hatton gym in Hyde. Just call me Boxercise Koba....

Nah - it was a good course - heavy on promoting technique. Don't make me a real boxing coach of course but helped me nail down some of the fundamentals and learned a whole bunch about pad work... gonna get to work on the youth club kids next Friday.

High point of the weekend - kid next to me when we were doing introductions was a Latvian living in Telford (training outta Richie Woodhalls gym apparently) name of Konstantin - Kostya, of course. In the Hatton Gym. Stood right under a picture of a different Kostya. Wish I'd had my phone to hand to take a pic.

Incidentally... PICK EM CREW - on the undercard of Beterbiev vs Yarde we have a nice WBA flyweight fight, Artem Dalakian vs David Jimenez, to be considered for next weekend.

An alternative for the latter might be (on Friday, though...) Bohachuk vs Gallimore, which could turn out to be a cràcker

Damn... you're absolutely right Karl it is. Never read Popper I literally just saw the quote somewhere, liked it and lifted it but didn't check the spelling of the name. Better get that seen to now or folk'll think I'm some kind of uneducated ruffian.

Tell you what T , all week I was leaning towards Beefy
I contradicted myself and last night decided to scratch the fughin surface with a few blokes from across the pond
Of course , I have mentioned this to you before , the minute someone gets in your ear you begin to doubt yourself , and I always go with my first instinct , learned to not bet with my heart
So , three four Brits told me Beefy had no power whatsoever , especially not enough to keep Eubank off of him
That he would never win a decision outright
He was shopworn
So you get the idea but what most got me debating was not one of them picked Beefy
Voila my change of heart and you saw what happened
I always thought Jr was going through the motions with help of his name and all
The one thing I should of noticed and taken into account was , with all the trash talk and Beefy not being at his level , why hire RJJ ?

Ya know what I saw but I ignored? the frickin ring walks
Smith was exuberant and when they stepped out of his dressing room and I heard one of his team say "lets take this cunt to school Liam" that was a huge alarm bell going off. Almost as bad was Junior's ring walk - a weird mix of indifference and nonchalence - low key.
Bread always talks about great ring walks being a sign for what is about to happen - that was one last night!
