This is a bad move for everybody, we understand that he has no amateur carrer at all, and they been taking care of that. Sometimes we get frustrated watching him fithing bums, but then again we get that. Now out of the nowhere, he's the mandatory for a guy that nobody wants to fight, we got P.Will, C. Spinks, K.Cintron, V.Phill, Angulo, soon Kirkland, J.Alcine, Santos and the list keep going and the only one that went in with Sergio was Cintron and he lost that fight crying. There's more options, just take a easy one like Alcine former champ in the last legs of his carrer for example.....

You sound exactly like you're coming to his defense! Martinez is not a masterful boxer, I give you that, but he will beat the crap out of Jr. Actually I'm not even worried about that fight because first he has to get past Duddy and to tell you the truth, I don't see him pulling that off.

Who gives a **** if Chavez jr will be named the mandatory. Wouldn't we rather see Chavez jr against Martinez than Martinez against noone, or Chavez jr against a noone? Martinez should punish Chavez jr. I believe Martinez is overrated, but he should punish Chavez jr. If the fight happens cool. I'd like to see it. And I'd really like to see Chavez jr vs John Duddy.

This would be a total mismatch that I can't believe that Top Rank would ever allow to happen.
