You can’t - never a mandatory side step or catch weight game with T Crawford..

“Qualified, what long and available opponent” Boots was all that AND is the most touted prospect. Also, Boots is a bigger name and talent than Avanesyan and would have accepted the same offer Avanesyan got.
Bud is not Mayweather. Fighting Boots would have generated better PPV numbers.

And Bud beat a virtual nobody who got a gift decision against Manny. A fringe WW belt.
After that “great” win, he followed it with Khan & Brook. Both irrelevant at WW and then Spence left overs, Porter.

Crawford will fight Broner or Ugas next

Spence would get wrecked on the inside with a sharp shooter like ennis. Bad style matchup. Crawford different story.

Crawford still will avoid Ugas at all cost. Big risk low reward, but Bud not gonna get a bag anyway.

He PROBABLY would not have had the towel thrown in for sure. After the physical damage of the Spence fight, coupled with another year or two of aging ... Shawn Porter ended up with the towel thrown in with Crawford. Could easily have been a different outcome two years prior without the Spence beat-down thrown in. Also, Crawford has not had the wear and tear on him that Porter had, fighting higher-level fights going in than Crawford. If Porter had had Crawford's previous six fights to their fight, he would have come in in much better shape, due to fighting lighter, smaller guys .... and taking much less pounding.

That said, Crawford and Spence both have to be favored, even against Ennis ... or anyone else ... until said someone can get in there and expose them. I'd favor Crawford to find a way just like I would favor Spence to find a way vs. Ennis.

Ennis IS however the immediate future of the division (unless he would get battered badly fighting one of those guys).
No disrespect, but that's very delusional thinking. Firstly, Porter didn't get beat down by Spence. In fact, until the knockdown, most fans and media had Shawn slightly ahead. Secondly, how could Porter fight "smaller, lighter guys" if he's never fought at lightweight and jr. welterweight like Crawford has? They could have fought four years ago. The result would have been the same, Crawford TKO late.

Robert Garcia never considered Crawford as an opponent for Mikey, but he had no problem letting him fight Spence. That tells me everything I need to know about the perceived difference fighters and trainers see between Crawford and Spence.

After seeing Boots look fairly ordinary last week, I'm not so sure he'd walk all over Ortiz Jr. Mr. Boots is not the monster Philly area fans and trainers want us to believe he is.

So, this is what 'Kenny Porter sees', hun?

He did not 'throw in the towel' when his son Shawn fought Errol 'the tooth' Spence.
But, he did 'throw in the towel' when his son Shawn fought Terence 'Bud' Crawford.

Now, his 'eye for talent' is telling him that a kid, 10 years Crawford's junior will beat him, but won't beat Spence....hmmm...

Well, so much for his 'eye for talent', just keep picking young prospects, and eventually you'll pick a winner to dethrone the 'ole champ' that retired his son Shawn, and finished the job that Errol Spence could not quite do.

Give credit now, to the current top-dog, where its due, because just being 'petty' is never a good look for the guy who 'threw in the towel', when his son was getting the brakes beat off him, by the guy who can't beat the current 'hot-dog prospect' who is still fighting Karen'z, Long Tall Sally, and the Little Ole Lady From Pasadena.

Somebody's PBC 'affiliation and bias' is showing.
                  You sir have gotten right
Porter is just tying to reassure his loyalty to the PBC and maybe he’ll get something out of it
I also think it’s not loyalty only but also the fact that Bud beat the chit out of his kid don’t help
Kenny is throwing out there his opinion , which I think is really off
To my eyes , Bud is big dog and certainly won’t be Boots , who I truly like , that will take that O
                  No fughin way
                  At least not anytime soon

This right here makes quite a bit of sense
I crave for Spence to fight Bud and I’m picking Bud from what my eyes have told me
People scream and biatch , I couldn’t give a fugh cause when it happens , it happens
Today’s boxing is all about deviating and avoiding , there’s no more matchmakers like there was back in the day
Fighters are prone to their promoters and their promoter said are prone to money
That’s why it’s more important to keep an O and fight nobodies , no disrespect to any boxer but we ain’t fughin blind either
Bud is one tough customer and to me he’s top dog

But for "some odd reason" they refused to exercise porter's mandatory...... Then when the wbo mandated the fight, they were posting all these videos of porter doing workouts in the back yard and running up mountains and whatever only for him to have the excuse that his son didn't have the camp he wanted to prepare for crawford.........

Kenny is a certified clown. You go through all that to discredit a fighter and then rather than just admitting his greatness, you try to belittle his dominance over your fighter/son by claiming your son didn't get adequate training he needed.... Last i checked, that would be the trainers fault first, and the last of discipline is also on the fighter...... Crawford doesn't have those issues thus he is where he is at, and porter is where he is......
