Prime Joe Calzaghe vs prime Bivol @ lt heavy

They both throw a lot of punches and seem to never tire out!

Bivol stops Joe. Joe never left 68 until his targets were on Ensure. He's too slow and been dropped by bummers. I don't think he lasts 8.

A flurry of slaps wouldn't be enough.

Hopkins was too geriatric when they fought.

Bivol has beaten Canelo, but he needs to do much more to make me believe he can live with a southpaw like Calzaghe, who's feet, movement and handspeed match or beat Bivols.

In addition, Calzaghe has shown how he adjusts in multiple fights, he has a plan A, B and C, this is what the great have...

Whereas Bivol hasn't showed that e.g. struggling v Craig Richards but little/no adjustments to take over.

Bivol is a quality fighter when it's all going his way - he hasn't shown he can do much against quality opposition when it isn't... Yet

New kid on the block syndrome, I never liked Joe but come on, Joe wins that fight.

Joe isn’t a 5’6 athletic puncher, or a 6’2 light heavyweight reluctant to throw punches, Joe had that dog in him and he found a way to win.

and Joe wasn’t slapping, he was cuffing with the heal of his palm, that’s why he would bust fighters up, gypsy boxing at its finest
