nice to say what he woulda done but the fact is, he never expressed any interest in fighting for the wbc title when Benavidez but in true b**ch boy fashion, he petitioned for the belt 3 days after Benavidez got stripped. But sure, it was Benavidez fault for missing weight and prior to that failing a drug test. Remember when both of those same things happened to Canelo? Bet you forgot about that huh?

Canelo's VADA test failure was consistent with eating tainted meat. Which would have nothing to do with discipline.

Benavidez couldn't keep his belt through his own actions. A guy who self sabotages like that on more than one occasion has to put in more work, if he wants to convince people that he is actually the best in the division. Beating Caleb Plant would be a good step in that direction but let's see if he can even do that first.
