Tank: "Haney has belts but people don't know who he is; Devin knows I'm the real champ."
If it bothers you that much, do something. Fight him and beat him so he won't bother you anymore. Problem solved.

Haney will probably turn into this generation's Fraud Jr. Just stinks out fights but keeps winning, lol. He'll eventually have to turn some bad guy heel to get fans to tune in and catch him lose, because nobody is going to want to see him snooze out the place every fight.

I honestly want to see Haney vs no one at this point, lol. He's just boring to watch. Tank with or without belts is a hell of a lot more entertaining. I'd pay to see him fight on PPV over Haney any day.

well he is more popular than haney and pretty much everyone else so he has a point i guess & to his fans he beats all anyway, so whats the point risking fights with guys who have the main belts until the time is right, if u look at boxing the guys who are undefeated or leave the sport undefeated tend to be quite revered especially amongst their fans who will say they win all fantasy matchups anyway

is it popularity contest? Davis inherited Floyds fanbase who would tune for any freakshow. Imagine him retiring with 0 legit belts...

            • Take for instance Teofimo Lopez, he fought a one armed Lomachanko, refused to rematch and then got exposed fighting a nobody special. Sorry but that's just a bare-bones fact.
            • Devin Haney received a belt via drop box (fact) and then fought the same nobody special and that's it....that's all he has ever done (another fact).

If Davis vs Garcia actually happens it should EARN them the #1 and #2 spots doing what nobody else is willing to do...FIGHT!
They will ignore your facts, as it doesn't yield them comfort in pushing their narratives. Miserable lot.

Okay, so go take his belts then.

                  There's no excuses now.

You don't have Floyd & Ellerbe protecting your and keeping you away from threats, now.

I'm skeptical a guy who got outboxed by Mario Barrios and even Rolly & Leo Santa Cruz for long stretches is going to outbox Devin Haney, who is the real champ at 135 because he won the belts.

At the very least, Broner's belts were legit. Tank? lol

He's saying that he's the true champion because without Top Rank and Bob Arum, who have had control over the belts and still do, he has managed to become more of an important fight for most in the division than the undisputed champion. That's the reason Ryan, Devin, Shakur, Cruz, and even 140 pound fighters are constantly calling his name, damn near begging for the fight.

He's the highest profile fight that they can attain when it comes to money, publicity, reaching out past the hardcore boxing world, and into households and entertainment. Tank is the face of the 135 division, like it or not. If they land a Davis fight, their life changes, win or lose. The same can't be said for ANY of the others including the undisputed champion.
