That’s all well said and good but he still lost the fight. If one is going to compete in this game then they are going to have to take some risks inside of the ring.

You are not going to win a fight solely by making your opponent miss, or by moving your feet more than moving your hands.

In addition, I never once said he didn’t land. I said that he hardly threw any punches but the ones he did throw were accurate.
Judges almost always score for the aggressor. Period.

Boots was the aggressor - despite being ineffective for at least 8 rounds.

That's why. And it's fine. Just like when Porter pitched a shutout on Formella even though Formella was landing at will - Porter was the constant aggressor, the judges gave it to him.

      You're ignoring the story here.

Your guy Boots Ennis is supposed to be a knockout artist.

He didn't knock out a guy he was supposed to.

THAT is the story, and that's ALL that matters.

"guy was running" - no, he was not. He was boxing circles around Boots and exposed flaws in his game.

All of that is fact. But that's all that matters here. He didn't get the knockout. He's got holes in the game. He needs to fix those things because if that were Spence in there, he would NOT have seen the 12th.

It's simply disappointing that so many so-called "boxing" fans wanted Karen to go out there and slug it out so he could get knocked out to satisfy you instead of appreciating the "Sweet Science" that man put on display.

        Hit and NOT get hit.

Meaning Boots beat someone highly competent and going the distance while owning every round was by no means a detriment to his blue chip status

I see that you're one of those guys with the special ability to watch fights upside down, eyes closed, and the tv switched off.

Yawl gotta teach me that trick.

No, you're just a hypocrite, like many on NSB.

If we're going to criticize Bum****a for getting taken the distance by Steve Rolls, we need to criticize Boots Ennis for getting taken the distance by Karen Chukhadzhian.

                  Be consistent.

You are right and I never said he didn't. He did land punches on punches on "Boots". However, he just didn't land enough of them in order to win the fight.
