A basic ABC decision machine is not the tougher fight though. Benavidez will put Canelo in hospital. This narrative the canelo fans are pushing is false. Benavidez is the tougher and more dangerous fight.

I personally don't think Canelo ducking but taking a more dangerous fight in another division doesn't excuse you for avoiding fights in your division like my example
Amir Khan fought a much better opponent than Kell Brook for a lot more money and prestige.

In no way is that a "duck." It's silly to even call it that.

Bivol is a tougher opponent than David Benavidez and pretty much everyone would agree with that.

Bivol the same person who was 5-1 underdog vs canelo and 95% of the boxing community picked canelo to beat? Just because he exposed canelo does not make him special. Its no secret that Benavidez beat him up in sparring from multiple sources.

Bivol has gone on to beat Canelo and whip Zurdo since those odds.

Benavidez still has to show that he can even get past Canelo's sloppy seconds in Caleb Plant.

Is he a harder puncher than Callum Smith? Benavidez will get his shot in the next 12 months if he stays unbeaten. If he beats Andrade after Plant then maybe sooner.

Alvarez has the biggest and most loyal fan base in the sport so he can make easier money fighting just about anyone though. And his fans will adore him even if he never fights Benavidez. But assuming Benavidez beats Plant, who else is there? Because Alvarez I'd not beating Bivol.
Well there's Morrell, Andrade and both Charlos. How about the undisputed SMW fights the undisputed LMW?

Sweet Cheek is going to run out of gas around the 8th like he always does and Cornbread won't be able to save him. Fight is almost a forgone conclusion.
What are you missing? apart from hand speed, power, accuracy, gas tank, combinations, body shots, 100 punches a round, relentless? If you think he is comparable to that bum Zurdo you really don't understand boxing.

Benavidez beat Dirrell in 2019, that’s a much better win than John Ryder.

Zach Parker was beating Ryder in his most recent fight, but as you know Parker gifted Ryder the win, forfeiting because he shattered his hand in the forth round and required surgery. Ryder didn’t beat the man.

Ryder is 34 years old with 5 loses and can’t cut it at the top even at the British level.
John Ryder has challenged for 3 British titles and has lost every time. He has losses to Rocky Fielding, BJ Saunders, Callum Smith and others. Ryder shouldn’t be anywhere near a world title shot, he is (as you put it) a can.
Yep but Benavidez last win was against a washed up Lemieux who never recovered from the Saunders humiliation. You can't really call that a win either. Ryder beat Smith in most people's eyes too and apart from that hasn't lost at SMW.

He did lose to Rocky Fielding thou........

Get them in the ring then we'll find out who is worthy

Some special fighters rise to the top and become the most sought after.
It would be nice if other MFers tried to do like wise.
