Yes, now it is more like "it works until it doesn't" style

It's a pretty unique style post Ortiz 1.

Forget the Fury 2 and 3 fights. That was just a desperate man.

In between he fell in love with his power and settled on a tactic of doing very little and just waiting for his chance to land one shot. At the level he fought, that worked. And it made him a top 5 fighter. Despite the claims he was exciting he was actually very dull to watch... until he landed his shot.

Not sure that style really goes any further in levels. The very best don't stand back and wait to be hit.

But yeah he's a boxer/puncher while not being much of a boxer.

A slugger with limited boxing skill. He stays away because he usually can with his size and reach, but he is not a stand a trade type if guy, not with his suspect chin. I will say that his hand speed is good ( not great ) and he certainly has power.

So I classify him as a cautious type of slugger who has been in some close fights due to lack of offensive and defensive skills that coasts on his reach, height and power. He does beat any ring magazine of box rec young fighters, as such his resume is rather suspect.
