He has to hope he lands something on Vitali early (like first 2 rounds) that hurts him bad enough to put him away or it will turn into a beating. He needs Vitali to look old in there (which eventually happens to everyone) or he wont last long. Vitali by KO in 4.

      ******ed thread.

McCline was old, fat, shot and came out of retirement for a paycheck.

Juan Carlos Gomez is one of the greatest cruiserweights of all time, made 11 world title defences. He was a legit Ring Magazine Top 10 heavyweight, WBC#1 contender and was coming off a dominant win over Ring Top 10 heavyweight at the time, big tough hard hitting Vladimir Virchis.

Vitali dominated Gomez, knocked him down 3 times and KO'd him in 9.

I still think Vitali is going to make short work of him. Because he showed that he's succeptable to the big punch, he is by no means mobile and comes straight forward to punch essentially the ultimate stationary target.

Vitali eats those kinds of fighters alive, because he's a boxer - puncher by nature and uses movement. He'll side step and KO him in the 1st round man.

Vitali is too big, Too Experienced, Hits too hard, Has too good of a chin and really Areola won't phase him with big shots. Mismatch.
Arreola is resilient enough to be able to come back from a knockdown. He shown it in the fights he's needed too, Witherspoon won his first round and got knocked out the next, same with Walker, and McCline.

Look at the fighters Vitali's faced lately, they're fighters that throw in single shots and don't go to the body. Cris does both of those well, probably the best in the heavyweight division with Povetkin.

Neither Sanders, Peter, nor Gomez are pressure fighters either. And they aren't on Arreola's level either, much less Danny Williams.

He throws 3,4,5 punch combinations; you don't think he's gonna land something solid?

Either you're overrating Vitali's defense or underrating Arreola's offense.

It's obviuos you didn't bother to read the OP and you wouldn't know how to be objective anyway. McCline was 5 pounds above what he was against Sam Peter, he was only off for 6 months, and had more than 6 weeks notice.

OK... Who did Gomez face in those defenses? Who did Virchis beat to earn his ranking? Gomez had to move up because he was snorting coke, partying, and eating everything in sight.

Lower it to the 7th and I'll take you up on it.

McCline was semi-retired and off the juice. I don't care how much he weighed the fight before Arreola; physically he was clearly not the same fighter.

Lewis didnt put Vitali down and Im 99.99999% sure he hits harder then Chris does. Im 99.999999% sure he hit Vitali with more clean shots then Chris will hit him with. Chris has been put on his ass by guys who dont hit nearly as hard or as accurate as Vitali. So basically Vitali needs to get caught with a perfect punch or just have gotten old over night. Otherwise The Nipple is going to get Michael Grant-ed. If it goes past 2 rounds without Chris hurting Vitali BADLY then he is ****ED!

Arreola will put up a good fight.

It will be a lot like Williams-Vitali I think, Cristobal will take a lot of punishment and then the ref will stop it after he's gone down a few times, around the 7th or 8th round.

Arreola does have a punchers' chance, because he hits very fast and hard, and because Vitali is age 38. Punch resistance is often the first thing to go on an older fighter.

If Vitali were fighting Haye, I would be 100% confident of him winning. But with Arreola, I'm about 75-80% confident.
