Canelo-Bivol at 168 is a DISGRACE.

Id actually like to see it at 168 providing Bivol made the weight ok, he is not a real big LH and said he has been close in training at times, on that proviso, that he was ok with the weight I think it would be a much better fight, I agree I think Bivol has got his number, by the same token I think Canelo will be better at the lower weight and loss will fire him up.

I just don’t see the fight being any closer
The same can be said for Bivol , he might just be quicker and lighter on his feet

But like you say, money talks.
its the same thing floyd did to canelo.

floyd talked a big game about not wanting to do catchweights, about fighting his opponents at 100% () but despite floyd being a 2x 154lb champion (oscar and cotto he fought at full 154lbs) the fight wasnt gonna be made if canelo didnt do the catchweight.

So basically, wah wah wah Bivol can’t move down, it’s not his weight class it’s not fair.

While simultaneously lol Canelo can easily fight at 175.

Sounds like excuses just in case Bivol accepts and loses tbh, not sure why it’s okay for one guy to fight where he’s deemed to be at a disadvantage but not the other.

Bitching? Nah... Simply acknowledging the reality of it is all. Canelo's fighting weight as a younger man - in his early to mid 20s - what you yourself are calling his 'prime' was around 172 - 174Lbs (as attested by his unoffical weights from his early 20s) as a JMW. By his late 20s - 30 or so as a MW that will have increased slightly but also his ability to drain and rehydrate would also be diminsihed. Now in his 30s his fighting weight in the ring is in the upper 170s - if I had to guess somewhere about 178 - 180. Almost precisely in line with the sort of increase you'd expect in a heathy athletic male between 22 and 32.

In fact contrary to your assertion that he 'got fat' he's actually maintained his shape incredibly well - gaining 4 or 5 Lbs of ring weight during 10 years of physical maturation is actually very good.

And yeah... we really gonna go down the path of trading insults man? Thought we were just exchanging views like grown men. You like... menopausal or something? Roid rage maybe?

Look man - I know you're probably a boxing expert in your own head but to me you're just a random dude on the internet... you want my respect you're gonna have to earn it by presenting convincing arguments not by simply asserting that you know better and calling me names.

If Bivol schools him again, Canelo fans will claim there needs to be a 3rd fight at 160.

I don’t know you either. I don’t care if you respect me. Don’t mean a damn thing. You know what you know and you don’t know what you don’t know. I cant make people understand cutting weight Or rehydration. Old men can’t cut so well. REAL fighters stay as close to their true fighting weight as possible. Are there exceptions? Of course, look at Pacquiao. Canelo is over bulked. That’s OVER WEIGHT. doesn’t mean he’s fat but it’s the same consequences.

Yes, I believe he is about 182 on the fight night. But that doesn`t mean he can make 168.
I've watched some of his training videos, and it looks to me like he starts his camps a little soft around the middle. So, he may walk around north of 190. He's a pretty ripped 182 on fight night. 168 may indeed be a bridge too far.
