Every fight is a big risk. It was a big risk for some guy named Karen to fight " Boots " and he did very well. This is like admitting these fighters cherry pick because they're afraid to risk losing.

A lot of these fighters lose anyway because every fight is a risk. They end up losing to some guy they we're heavily favored to beat. Yet the presumed difficult fight was not worth the risk.

I find it a lame excuse because the boxing greats always took risks. Every boxing troll on the internet says Mayweather cherry picked his whole career yet he's beat more legit champions than any of these new clown fighters. He fought Canelo when he was what 23? Mayweather was 36. Was that risky? He cherry picked though right?

Canelo is running scared from Andrade right? Or no wait Jermall Charlo who won his belt beating 39 year old Bundrage. Yeah the best fighters just cherry pick the risky fights and want the easy payday. I highly doubt you internet trolls know the difference.

The fraud fighters you have an emotional attachment to are robbing the fans who pay for the fights. And you'll defend them to the end.

He really doesn't. He should be fighting 1 of them young guns so he has a bigger case for the top fights. Like hey i fought the young guys Spence and Crawford didnt want to so i deserve to be next up. I guess you can just skip to the front if you're a name.

I've always been a Thurman fan but I like to tell the truth , Stannionis is right. One fight in almost four years shouldn't get Keith a title shot. It's his name and ability to sell a fight that getting him a shot.

So how much should Crawford make if he fought Boots if he made $10 million for Avanesyan?
It was probably Crawford’s biggest payday against an overmatched guy so if he had faced Boots, $10 million would still have been his biggest payday.

Eimantas Stanionis undergoes appendectomy, fight with Vergil Ortiz Jr postponed

Eimantas Stanionis had to undergo an emergency appendectomy, according to ESPN.com’s Mike Coppinger, and as such, his scheduled March 18 bout with Vergil Ortiz Jr will be postponed, but it’s not off the table.

Richard Schaefer, who is Stanionis’ promoter, told Coppinger that Stanionis (14-0, 9 KO) had been training, felt some pain, and then had “immediate surgery.” Schaefer says that they have been in communication with Golden Boy, who won the purse bid for the fight in December.

The fight was ordered by the WBA, whose secondary welterweight title is held by Stanionis. The winner is, in theory, in line for an ordered crack at “super world” WBA titleholder Errol Spence Jr, who will also have another likely mandatory from the IBF in tonight’s Ennis vs Chukhadzhian winner, and has an order in place from the WBC to fight Keith Thurman.

Ortiz (19-0, 19 KO) and Stanionis match up very well on paper, and it’s a fight that boxing fans are going to want to see. The good news is that, again, it doesn’t appear this is any attempt to get out of the fight or whatever — Stanionis would likely be stripped of his belt, for one thing, and the belt more than anything else is what makes and can keep him a player in the 147 lb division.

I would have done the same thing but listen to the casuals talk about “Boots should earn the Crawford fight by making a name for himself”. How the heck did Avanesyan make a name for himself to earn the Crawford fight?

                  It’s a pretty straightforward question.

I think Spence-Thurman will do 1 million ppv buys and Thurman is a perfect tune-up for Spence.
