Comments Thread For: Rashidi Ellis On Jaron Ennis: "That Could Be A Cool Rivalry"

Protracted stints on the shelf consistently frustrated Rashidi Ellis. In both 2019 and 2020, the highly-ranked welterweight contender fought just once. In 2021, he failed to enter the ring at all. Although his 2022 campaign appeared to be a different story, following a quick first-round knockout victory over Jose Marruffo, Ellis (24-0 15 KOs) returned to the sidelines.

Fights have to be competitive in order to be a rivalry. Boots demolishes Ellis.

But like he 'Rashidi' has already said...."Only if the MONEY is right"...

Translation: he don't want that smoke...work...action...or what ever other hip or 'cute' word that can be coined...bottom line is that he 'don't want that FIGHT....PERIOD.

HERE...HERE...GET YOUR 'RIPE RED CHERRIES HERE...HERE...HERE...

      Hey...that an't no 'cherry'...that's a hard one....

Where's Al Hayman, PBC and Mayweather when you really need em?

"Psst...umm...Rashidi that's not your advisor or promoter."

      "umm...oh...okay"

Does he? Seems likely but Ellis would be Boots’ toughest test to date. Maybe there’s a reason for that.

Some of y'all elevate Boots to legendary status when he's barely beaten a Top 10 fighter. His best win is Custio Clayton, a 34 year old fringe contender from Canada. Think about that.

Maybe, maybe not. But he was the only person willing to accept. Remember, Ellis himself was offered the fight and turned it down.
