People said the same thing about Mark Breland at one time ,also Paul Williams was once considered the next big thing, sometimes it just doesn't happen.

And David Haye didn’t get the fight with Klitschko until years after his publicity stunt. Which was also years after he moved up in weight after becoming a unified cruiser weight champion. By the time they fought no one even remembered that publicity stunt. But even though those are bad examples I can admit there are always exceptions to the rule. I should say that it usually doesn’t work and its never worked for Andrade, Its just made him look desperate. And Ennis is such a hyped fighter that it’s completely unnecessary for him to do. He’s doing the right thing by just continuing to fight and make it look good.
It had everyhting to do with the stunt. Jones so big he was beyond belts. Haye confronted Vlad and they fought, end of story. Church it up all you like, the made it happen.

Andrade had a belt Cleneloterol wanted at 54 right? Still ducked him. Same for Jerms, GGG, Munguia etc.

      It is hypocritical. That’s all.
And then you come back with juvenile rants about “not being fit to be in the same room as you” - who says shït like that?

But, Bailey later upset the apple cart when he beat NSB's 'eye test' at the time, Mike Jones.

That win ruined both guys' careers. Which is why smashing 'eye test' fighters just to appease hardcores on NSB is never the right answer.

Boots is the most avoided fighter at WW

He's what Rigondeuax was to bantam years ago

Let's hope his career doesnt turn out the same way due to the disgraceful ducking of his peers

Boots is exciting to watch, so at least he's got that advantage over Rigo though

They'll turn on Boots too the moment he meets his Victor.

By the by, has Boots ever faced an aggressive Mexican warrior? I know there aren't a lot of them left.

It would have been interesting to see how he dealt with the version of Josesito Lopez that fought Chino.
Yeah I just remember berto looking really good against C level guys an he was a great athlete had speed an power was alot more compact an stocky then boots but he had alot of people saying he was gonna be the next one at 147 but you started seeing warning flags before the ortiz fight when he stepped it up abit then he won a world title against lesser opposition then he fought Victor in what was supposed to be a easy defense an he got found out an he just didn't have any answers when the fight got into deep waters. With boots it's time to go imo in terms of lets see what he's got. An a high pressure fighter would of been a really good next step for him. someone like a maidana/Lopez/ortiz etc you got vergil ortiz who has that high pressure style but there paths are gonna cross later on it seems

I agree. I'm not so worried about undefeated records. I'm all about the activity and if he moved to 154 it would be telling on the state of current gridlock at 147 with the titlists pointing fingers and blaming incidentals rather than actually doing their jobs.
