I get what you are saying but I'd prefer Cobb vs. Thurman for no belt. Hell I'm sure the WBC would make them 1 and rank Cobb for the right amount of $ Winner fights the winner of Ellis vs. Crowley for a Vacant WBC.Comment

Rashidi Ellis Announces Signing With Premier Boxing Champions

Oscar De La Hoya, the founder of Golden Boy, recently responded to a query regarding Ellis’ protracted layoff. De La Hoya said he tried at one point to offer Ellis a deal to fight Vergil Ortiz, the hard hitting Texan regarded as one of the crown ***els on the Golden Boy roster, but claimed that Ellis turned it down.
“We recently offered him a Vergil fight,” De La Hoya said on The DAZN Boxing Show. “If fighters are going to be turning down fights, there’s nothing I can do.”

I'm unsure what to think of Ellis, but it looks like they are lining him up for a Boots fight, which makes all the sense in the world. That would be an excellent test for both fighters and answer lots of questions.Comment
