I don't accept hersay, I want facts only...link...?
classic.
Tell you what kid. I was in downtown Chicago on fight night, and the fight was a very common topic of discussion. And most casual fans were rooting for, you guessed it, Mayweather. They cheered at the knockdown..and at the ring bell ending the match. They booed Kellerman, and cheered Mayweather when he took the mic.
I talked to a friend in New York and it was much the same scene over there.
People just didn't want to lug their asses all the way to Nevada for a tune up fight, but they still tuned in. alot of them.
I have friends also in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philly, and Denver and they don't even know that Mayweather is fighting.

This board has been stuck on repeat since floyd left top rank and avoided margarito. Its gotten to the point where im sick of him being the top fighter to some extent. not because i dislike his fighting style or ability, but the way every fan of every top fighter gravitates towards discrediting him. i almost miss when roy jones was one of the most contraversial fighters on here back in 04Comment

Pac fans, seriously STFU. You know jack ****.
How about this:
Hatton vs. Mayweather did more buys than Hatton vs. Pacquiao. Interesting.
So if Pac is such a bigger attraction, why did Floyd vs. Hatton generate more numbers?
Here's a thought. Popularity and noteriety are not the same thing. Pac does numbers because people like his style and personality. Floyd does numbers because people hate his style and personality.
Has anyone ever seen Private Parts with Howard Stern? In the movie, there's a part where they were talking about Howard's numbers. They had the average listening times of different listeners. Long story short, those who hated Howard Stern listened longer than those that liked him. Same goes for Floyd.
So in summary, you're an idiot if you think Floyd gets any less than 40%.Comment

No, even though he's less entertaining than both. Mayweather has a history behind him and beat legit fighters, remained undefeated and generated big numbers against Hatton and DLH.
Plus just in terms of quality, Mayweather is the highest guy right now. Everybody wants to fight him coz he's like the last boss of someone's career. Cotto, Mosley and Pacquiao would all kill to fight him, they're running after his ass and want his head as a trophy. A win over Mayweather guarantees you a place in the top 20 ATG. Just because he's the pinnacle of his opponent's career, i believe he still deserves the edge.Comment

How is that possible, when your whole version of events is based on misinformed whim?Originally posted by peyk-peykI want facts only...Comment
