What happened to " We want Wilder next. Anthony wants Wilder next. He wants it so bad"?
Was talking his guy into a fight his arse couldn't handle. And now he's doing all the acrobatics not to make the fight.
That's what happens when the mouth is totally detached from the rest of the body.

'I couldn't give Anthony Joshua an opponent he'd turn down'....he's just turned down Tyson Fury. So it's official fight a nobody in April followed by the main course in the summer, 'washed up Whyte' as his aim........this is total bollocks ...I have no respect for Joshua at all , I had hoped he just might find some balls and fight some of the top guys but he's instead sticking to Hearn's business plan of keeping his suspect chin safe waw!

'But there has to be a plan , a smart plan' = get the idiots in Wembley against a faded fighter washed up Whyte then if he sc****s through that one mega cash out fight against the weakest cash out possible ....this is not for me!!

So basically Fury will be his retirement fight 'cos that is a definite loss. Funny how Fast Eddie isn't mentioning that fight any longer. That shows it was smokescreen all along seeing it is an easier fight to make than the Wilder fighter. His promoter has really lost confidence and basically cashing him out at this point. Joshua has really gone down the tubes. He isn't beating Fury, isn't beating Usyk and don't think he beats Wilder either though we are yet to see who Wilder really is since his Fury beatdowns. Man how the mighty has fallen

AJ is not a figher, but a product.

He wouldn't beat Parker in a rematch either.

They just can't accept a loss. Rebuild him? He lost a pretty close fight. If a few of the right punches had landed or landed better he would already be champ again. Rebuild?

It's just a loss dude. Anyone and everyone can lose a fight. There's always elements of luck in fights. One missed duck, a counterpunch, a punch thrown a second too early or too late can change everything. AJ fought well enough. Usyk had a bit more luck, focus, intensity, AND the ability to relax when things weren't going his way ... and focus to turn the tide.

AJ seems to struggle sometimes with relaxing. And I know everyone is talking about the "numerous" changes he needs to make. I think he does need a tougher training camp where he is NOT in control. Beyond that his lack of confidence / fear of taking a big punch (thanks Ruiz) / need to be in control (in his mind) derails him being able to relax and just fight.

No one can control outcomes all the time. Not even hearn/matchroom/dazn/money can control that all the time.

Any predictions for his “big” 2023? I think he will fight Hrgovic next. Easy fight for him I feel and will tick the top 15 promise. Then it will be 6 months of “he said, they said” negotiations with Wilder culminating in an “unfinished business” fight with Jarrell Miller. Early 2024 Fury fight made but falls apart and a marquee rematch fight with Dillion Whyte happens. Hearn thinking that hopefully someone would’ve beaten Wilder by then and Fury and Usyk would’ve hopped off and Joyce will be old enough to take a punt at.
