I don't think Martin wants any part of Stevenson at this point. He'll hide behind network/promotion conflict or something. He mentions fellow PBC Tank Davis, but he knows he's going to be fed a long line of Romero-level opponents first before he'll get a taste of the big boy games. He knows the business, especially with a promoter like Man Down. Sense of urgency is alien to these folks. You're talking years.

I agree that Stevenson is a good talent but we can’t say great as of yet, look at the crop of fighters he has faced and although dominating it’s not like he has did it to world class household names. He also never hurts or stops anyone which at times make for boring but talented fights. I don’t think we know yet how this will go for him until he fights bigger stronger guys in a new division but he’s talented we know!

Great fight! Prefer to see winner of Haney and Loma vs Stevenson. I am getting to the point where I don't want to see PBC fighters get a belt as once they have it they are prevented from making good fights with non PBC fighters - look how they are pushing Deontay yo fight fatman instead of who he really would care to fight. Spence ditto. Tank - ditto. Lets see Tank vs Martin - thats a good fight, same age, in their primes, assuming he beats both Garcias. Or Martin vs Cruz - a clear winner gets truly elevated !

Martin is a counterpuncher. That would make for a stinker. Stevenson would stiffarm him when he got close and bounce away and no punches would be thrown all night.

You’re wrong. He’s a dog and would fight anyone. Boxing politics are keeping the fights from happening, not him.

Why won’t he call out Haney or Loma who are in his stable? Who he can fight. Instead he’s calling out Tank and all these other guys on the other side of the promotional street.
