to be realistic, Paquiao cannot beat Miguel cotto.

hell yea...maybe not beat a defending champ...but the same cotto that has fought the best competition in the welterweight division...the same cotto that was beaten by a man with bricks in his hands....the same cotto that beat a gigantic welterweight in clottey with one eye.....what has he done? hes fought the best competition possible....pacman is one of my favorites but what has he done? weight drained oscar...hatton was a good win but he has no defense and was lunging in with his wide shots and telegraphing.....he was winning the second round until the ko...if you look you would notice he wobbled manny in that round...i met paulie in the yankee stadium presser and he said cotto hits waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder than hatton......he is a natural welterweight manny is just too small and isnt the better boxer in this fight his only advantage is his speed thats it

    timing kills speed

      I agree with your sarcasm.
The "This guy beat that guy so he must not be that good" logic doesn't work in boxing but I understand what knives is trying to say.

          That's exactly what it is.
No matter how much people argue on here, there is no way that Cotto is just going to ram right through Pacquiao just like there is no way that Pac easily destroys Cotto.

          It's a 50-50 fight I'm telling you guys.
Deep in your hearts you know it's true. No matter how much love you show out here for your fighter, it's a toss up on fight night.

Greetings gents! Thought I'd put my first post here. This fight is going to be interesting. The one thing that Cotto has going for himself is the fact that he is a natural welteweight, so that makes him the bigger man. However, he has a disadvantage going into the fight, that being his corner. We all know that Pacquiao has one of the best trainers around in Freddie Roach, who is going to plan a very good strategy coming into the fight. Cotto's corner is not that experienced, and I believe it can affect him. Although Cotto has the power to affect Manny, it will be interesting to see the strategy that Pacquiao uses to fight him.

its unbelievable how many people write cotto or manny off. this is a true 50/50 fight, thats gonna go down on who dictates the pace and who got the better plan. if manny cant hurt cotto early and cotto is able to slow manny down w/ body work he should be able to finish him off late like judah. but if manny's speed and power is too much for cotto i see this fight finishing early. it should be a war and hopefully place boxing in a much better standing.

Cotto must have thought he was having a bad dream.
I wouldn't say that margo's chin is all that...look at what Shane did to him. He was like a rag doll. Cotto's punches werent having as much effect 'cause he was fighting backing up. He's not as good going backwards as coming forward. And i don't see Manny backing Cotto up.
