to be realistic, Paquiao cannot beat Miguel cotto.

The same miguel cotto that has never ever beaten a defending champion? the same cotto that margarito made quit? the same cotto that struggled with clottey? im sorry but what the fcuk has cotto done in his last 4 fights? it may be hard to tell, but i actually think cotto is pretty good, but his fanboys suck massive dong.

He can, but I don't think he will. Cotto too damn big for him.

I'll go out on a limb too

I too believe Cotto will win. He is too good a boxer, has too good a chin, is too smart a boxer, and will hit Pacquiao much harder than he has ever been hit before. Pacquiao can win, but he would have to fight the fight of his life.

I don't know why we keep pretending Cotto sucks as a boxer. He doesn't. And he hits plenty hard. He knocks people down with his jab, and that is not his best punch. Neither De La Hoya or Hatton compare physically to what Cotto brings. Cotto was rocking a 165lb Clottey around while on the ropes...how do you think a 150lb. Pacquiao will fare.

When boxing skill is comparable, strength matters. It matters big time. Pacquiao can win, but it will be a long night for him.

Let me know when you want to talk about Pavlik-Williams, another clearly misunderstood fight.

I guess we'll all be answered on November.

Pacquiao has super great speed, better condition, southpaw and has come off easy his two last fights. Cotto on the other has more power and better technic than on offense and isn't as slow as Oscar, but lacks stamina and has been battered alot lately.

If Cotto is unable to hit Manny enough and Manny is able to land from a distance Cotto might be in trouble. Remember Cotto doesn't have a reach advantage like Mayweather has. Cotto reach is the same as Pacquiaos.

Cotto is a concussive hitter. But he doesn't punch through brick walls, like ... say ... Tito did. Margarito wasn't troubled at all by him.

But I agree that Cotto will bring far more power to the table than Pac has faced before. And he'll connect with it - unlike Hatton & Oscar.

I agree. He is a concussive hitter. He has controlled power, not like Tito, that would swing for the fences every once in a while. On another note, you have to admit that Margarito's chin is Super-human, especially that night. Cotto hit him with every fiber of his soul, and he kept on coming... Cotto must have thought he was having a bad dream.

Yep. Margarito's chin is pretty special. I'm surprised Cotto didn't bust both his hands given the amount of leather he laid on it that night. Kind of reminded me of Ali's loss to Frazier. I bet he still wakes up in a cold sweat thinking about that night.

To be realistic you forgot to take your medicine and are being delirious. Cotto is reach man Gatty and the only thing separating him from a victory on november the 14th 2009 is "lack of speed". No human eye yet can see Manny punches, the man is ridiculously fast. Manny will TKO my other favorite figther in the late rounds.
