This 'division' will be the least talented segment in boxing. You're going to get world champions undeservedly appearing on genuine cards with practically no boxing ability.

And that unbelievable opportunity still won't be enough. Trans people will still complain that they should be fighting against the group that they identify as.

Eventually it will be allowed and the men born as women won't matter. They'll never compete. While the women born as men will produce world champions.

Basically there's no answer that is actually fair. I think boxing orgs should use the fact that these people quite literally change their bodies through drug use to exclude them. That can't have any place in the sport.

The head of the World Boxing Council is planning to create a new avenue for transgender boxers to practice their craft. In an interview published Thursday on The Telegraph, WBC boss Mauricio Sulaiman informed the UK newspaper that his sanctioning body is looking to form a separate league for transgender boxers, in the name of "safety and inclusion."

This is extremely discriminatory and transphobic. Trans-women are women and Trans-men are men and should be treated accordingly.
Mia Thomas has broken every record in swimming and those records stand.
So if Trans-people want to compete in the competition of their choice then they must be allowed to do so.
Isn’t that the argument we hear all the time? Why should this one be treated differently?

With there being more and more transgender people these days, this seems inevitable really. Makes sense to have people competing with those who are the same as them.

Alternatively they could keep things simple as they used to be and categorise based on biological sex and not gender. Just a thought.
