Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: People Don't Understand ... They're Not At This Level of Greatness

Teofimo Lopez isn't about to let an underwhelming performance dent his confidence. The 140-pound contender from Brooklyn, New York, is coming off a competitive, if dull, split decision win over Sandor Martin of Spain at Madison Square Garden in New York City. After the fight, Lopez was caught by an ESPN mic openly questioning himself to his handlers, saying "Do I still got it?". The moment caused a ripple through the boxing world.

    So delusional…

I’d love to know what the “level of greatness” where you lose to C level guys like George Kambosos feels like. Maybe Lee Selby or Mickey Bey could let us know.

He wants Prograis. If he gets that fight all questions will be answered. If he hasn’t “still got it”, he going to take a beating. Even if he has, he might lose in a competitive fight because Prograis really is at that level.

Someone advise that kid to stfu. Teofimo should grind in the gym and stop focus on what people, the press think.

He lacks that kind of maturity and unfortunately his father doesn't have it. He is himself an egomaniac.

I believe Teo is a talented fighter and his father a talented trainer but they lack maturity and mental peace.

They are both all over the place when they talk and act like they are some super smart and wise dude, but they are akward and cringey more than anything else.

They had some smart advisers around them with Top Tank matchmakers, team management but they did shyte where they eat.

Kambosos is not an C Level fighter. However, Regis is an A level fighter and will spank Teo when they meet. Teo is too mentally fragile to handle what Prograis will bring. It's very obvious. He peaked with his win over Loma.

he is clearly doubting himself, but putting up a front of a master planner who has everything figured out.

Yes, the Prograis fight would answer everyone's, including his own, questions and/or doubts.

But, like Ramirez, he's gonna say he wanted it but his promoter didn't as a way out of the fight.

What's wrong with TR winning a purse bid for their fighters?
