what he did to marquez didnt impress me. cheating and fighting a smaller guy is no way impressive. impressive is when he'll fight a true WW fighters like mosley or cotto and beat them like the way he did to marquez, thats what impressed me and to all people. for now unless he'll stop avoiding and running away from legit WWs hes nothing but a real coward who keeps on cherrypicking a smaller and a non-dangerous opponents, lifting up his own chair and shout to the world that he is the best. my goodness..... he doesnt even deserve to be on the top 10 p4p list

        Nobody asked for this fight.

The fact that they asked people to pay for it is a slap in the face of the fans. Especially after it being exposed for the mismatch that it was.
Yet there were a million ppv buys...??

some of you guys are either crazy or just plain ******. A nearly 7 million dollar gate, and a reported 1 million+ PPV is a ****ing success, no matter what flavor haterade you're drinking.

Show me actual figures, and not projections.

Not saying that it isn't possible, but I'd like to see actual numbers, which to my knowledge are supposed to be available tomorrow.

Besides, are you really going to sit there and tell me that the fans made this fight happen?

Did you see any threads or even posts on here calling for Mayweather's next opponent to be Marquez?

              I didn't.

If the fight did well, its a testament to people wanting to see Floyd fight again, as well as their already established fan bases, respectively.

Please don't tell me that you were interested in this fight before it was made, because I sure as hell wasn't. Sure, I watched...I'm a boxing fan, and was curious to see how it would play out, even though I knew that it was a mismatch in Floyd's favor.

But you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who wanted to see this fight before it was made, and even more hard pressed to find anyone who in hindsight thought it was a good fight to be made.

the longer it gets that official numbers comes out, the more reason that I think those high porjections are not true ...

anyways i hope it is clsoe to the truth, it is good for boxing if the fight reach the 1 million PPV mark, this just shows that casual fans are still following boxing superstars ...

Looking at the picture you have, the errors Marquez is making are so obvious. We can see that when he throws a left jab, {which was destined to fall very short before he even threw it,} he brings it back very low, dropping his left fist, which leaves him wide open for a right cross.

This is a very prevalent bad habit with most fighters, but, since it's a very basic "NO NO" from the very earliest boxing lesson, you wouldn't expect to see it from a supposed Lb4Lb boxer. When Joe Louis did it, Schmeling said "I zee somezing" and he did.

That's how he KO'd Louis in their first fight, just by taking advantage of this small but potentially lethal flaw. Mayweather takes advantage too, but doesn't have the power to KO even a jumped up featherweight.

Still, it looks as if Marquez is saying, "here hit me, I'll give you a free shot"..................

And as we know, he gave him lots of opportunity to do just that.
