Floyd is an elite jr. middleweight

According to Floyd stans a Pacquiao win over Cotto would establish Pacquiao as an elite welterweight and therefore should be fighting other Elite welters and should fight Floyd at 147. Anything lower would be a ***** weight drain move.

Following that same logic....Floyd beat Oscar delahoya at 154 for the WBC belt. And Oscar delahoya was "arguably" the #1 jr middleweight at the time. THEREFORE FLOYD IS AN ELITE JR MIDDLEWEIGHT. What is he doing fighting lightweights and jr welterweights at welter if he's an elite jr. middleweight??

    P.S.

I am in no way bashing Floyd. I'm just saying that this train of thought the Floyd Stans are rallying behind is really ******ed.

I can see two people giving Mayweather problems at 154, Sergio Martinez and Kirkland. Beating Mayweather at 154 is a good win, who is to say otherwise? Fact is, if Pacquiao can beat Cotto, Pacquiao is an elite WW. It'd be inevitable, if Mayweather vs Pacquiao were to go down, you couldn't possibly say Pacquiao isn't elite at that weight and that's what everyone wants to see him face.

Excuses for when Floyd beats WBO WW champion, Manny Pacquiao

BTW if a Jr Middle beat Floyd, he'd get a lot of credit, just like a WW ( Cotto) deserves a lot of credit if he beats Pacquiao

Whoops. Excuse me. I forgot to add that this is in no way a Floyd Bashing Thread. Just a FLOYD STAN bashing thread. I'm only pointing out that that logic and/or train of thought is really ******ed.

If Martinez beat Floyd at 154 i'd give him FULL credit

I hope Pacquiao fans do the same if Cotto wins

whatever happened to Mayweather being a jr. welterweight? this fight should happen at 140! after all, Floyd isn't a legit welter..

According to Freddie Roach himself, Manny is at his best at 149lbs.

Why shouldn't they fight at WW?

It is one of the worst divisions in boxing, you are correct

I'd be embarrassed if Floyd moved to that division, Floyd has to face Cotto, Pacquiao, Berto or Mosley for his next fight
