Boxing is a limited combat sport with a lot of cheating. Showtime is a joke. They are willing and able. You might be thinking of Showtime early 2000s when they had integrity.

Two obvious differences:

a) beating up old men is not as much of a hot button issue as beating up women.

and

b) Conor McGregor is a much much bigger star than Tank, that was a record setting ppv.
