Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis Believes Boxers Use Mental Health As An 'Excuse' To 'Get Out Of Stuff'

Gervonta Davis has his doubts about the legitimacy of Ryan Garcia's mental health struggles. When asked after a recent open workout whether he is stronger mentally than his rival, Davis suggested that Garcia's mental health break last year was an "excuse" to "get out of stuff." Garcia revealed less than two weeks after his July 2021 fight against Javier Fortuna was announced in April 2021 that he had withdrawn to focus on improving his mental health.

“You never heard no back-in-the-day fighter talk about mental health,” Davis said following his training session at 5th Ave. Gym in Miami Beach, Florida.
They didn't talk about it, they just got affected by it.

      Valero
      Christy Martin
      James Butler
      Oli McCall

Just off the top of my head.

      So it's a real thing.

I simply don't buy it for Ryan. He seems fine when it's a C-level.

I agree with Tank Davis. We all have to deal with issues that can affect our mental health in life.

America has found a niche in caring about the mental health of its rich and fabulous while ignoring the mental health of its general population.

Tank Davis is saying that Ryan Garcia a privileged little b**tch. Tank is going to show him what kind of man is bred from a lifestyle that doesn't have privileges.

Ryan Garcia is gonna have a whole lotta feelings after this fight.

Everybody has a struggle one way or another its all about how you handle it whether you give in or not. This modern generation is just dumb weak and entitled. Want laws to the world to compromise for you instead of you confirming to it. They just mainstreamed mental illness like its cool look at the alphabet ppl and woke rhetoric. We all know its a mental disorder. Learned from a counselor cause your sad dont mean your depressed its a thing called life and theirs a thing called circumstances if things fell apart or is falling its normal to get emotional. Folks nowadays just get too emotional when it dont go there way. Let alone if u get on drugs like coke (fury) that can lead to drug induced mental problems thatll calm down once the drugs are done fury not on coke n roids
