Comments Thread For: Erickson Lubin: "A Fight With Tony Harrison Makes Sense"

With his fists clenched in frustration, Erickson Lubin believes that he was just one win away from returning to the scene of the crime. In October of 2017, after racking up a spotless record, Lubin (24-2, 17 KOs) stood across the ring from Jermell Charlo.

One fight in 2020, 2021 and 2022. He fights so infrequently that he almost has to take difficult fights or he'll fall behind. Fundora was a physically grueling fight, but I don't think the Harrison fight would be.

This should be a barn burner and I favor Tony not because he's a former champion, but because I think Lubin is more damaged! Lubin will bring it because that's what he does, but so does Tony and I think Tony punches a bit harder than Lubin probably use to. I would favor my Detroiter in this one.

They did? Good to hear that! Fundora should get his shot, how many eliminators does he need to fight in???

He's staying active, and he's becoming must-see TV! The winner of Charlo vs. Tszyu must fight him, unless Charlo has a rematch clause!

This is probably a good style match up for Erickson Lubin. Tony Harrison has not looked the same since the Jermell Charlo rematch. Moreover, Harrison is neither a puncher, counter puncher; Where Lubin could get caught in the exchanges or a volume puncher where he could easily out box Tony from the outside.
