Calzaghe is what you would call, umm, a SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT.

Hopkins fought Tarver in June, 2006. Over three years ago.

            Hopkins' last three fights:

            Kelly Pavlik - a middleweight

Joe Calzaghe - a super middleweight

            Winky Wright - a junior middleweight/middleweight

            FACT.

There was a video here on BScene that went unnoticed apparently. Floyd was being interviewed weeks before the fight. The interviewer says something about the fight being at 144, and Mayweather points to the back in the poster and says "No this is a Welterweight fight. GBP is saying 144 but as you can see on the poster it's a scheduled WelterWeight fight[points to the poster]. It doesn't say it there but this is a Welterweight fight. I haven't agreed to no 144."

But that's the past, I don't care about it. It was a rust-shaking tune-up fight that i give Floyd no credit for.
