Yeah, Garcia is politely saying he's lazy and mentally weak. He is what he is at this point. Doesn't matter now where or who trains him.

Can a person's psyche be trained, because that's what AJ needs.
He's been stopped once and out boxed 2x.
He needs a confidence building win vs a tune up/ C level
Score a devastating KO while doing it intelligently
He doesn't want a repeat of his 1st fight with Andy.

Garcia is just a bad fit for AJ period. One; due to size and two; he is just plain intimidated by AJ.

Garcia has always come across as straight and honest and here is no different .Joshua has never beaten a 'killer' in a fight where he is a underdog. Look carefully at his record , the biggest name on there was a old and beaten Wladimir Klitschko who very nearly had him out but virtually no one else that's achieved anything.Garcia knows that Joshua is too big for his boots and and runs it rather than be guided and do what he's told to do .He knows that a new trainer will look good as Hearn won't allow Joshua to fight anyone like Wilder or even Joe Joyce and I doubt vey much even Wallin until he has squeezed every last drop of the vulnerable crowd that will support Joshua come what may and not understand what they are watching .It gives you more than clue that he was offered 40% of the purse in a joint promotion with an independent arbitrator placed for any deal difficulties to be sorted and a crack at the world championship for around £40m (a career biggest purse) against the lineal heavyweight champ and they refused!
Joshua will not get any better than last time out where he was probably the best we'll see him , even though he got beat. He is caught between being a boxer and a fighter and since the Ruiz annihilation and nearly being stopped in the first fight with Usyk has obvious deep routed doubts about himself and his ability to take punches .
Johnny Nelson made a good point recently about a guy he likes and cares about , 'he should take a year out to get his head straight', Hearn would never allow this and the pair will get a new trainer and continue to fight faded old names and or hand picked opponents that look okay on paper but they know won't present much of a problem and then con everyone in to thinking he is back and fight rematch with faded Dillian Whyte (who just looked terrible!) in a sold out Wembley Stadium full of drunks who think they will be watching the 'new coming against a guy he's already knocked out and then he'll be seen ready to fight Tyson Fury for a 50/50 split in a fight that will show for sure what I am saying all along , a one sided hammering to take him into retirement to count the vast sums he and Hearn will have made out of the causal boxing fans who didn't see this coming.

Robert Garcia Listening to him talk about AJ is like listening to Unable Suckerchez talk about Andre Ward. AJ was out of his mind to mess with him in the 1st place

" . . . you cannot say, ‘Oh, I don’t want to spar because I’m tired.’ ‘Oh, I didn’t sleep enough last night, so I don’t want to train today.’

Interesting insight to Joshua's actual attitude and dedication.

One place in particular, Big Bear, but the town is getting rough. Still altitude in the middle of a desert. Two deserts. The Sonora and the Mojave, Ideal to a fault. The bears and snakes love it.

That's why Robert is saying he needs to change it up, spar different people and crap like that.
I doubt he thinks he is already the best. He's just lost twice and is trying to make changes to his setup so clear he knows he's not the best and is trying to make improvements. I do think maybe Joshua thinks he's smarter than he is though.

As for getting out of his comfort zone? It's difficult say because different people respond differently to different approaches. Some people respond well to a kick up the ass and being taken out of their comfort zone. Sone respond better from an environment where they feel comfortable and positive reinforcement. I don't know which approach would get better results from Joshua. What I will say though is that from what I've seen and heard Joshua seems like he might be the type of person that you need to explain things to so that he agrees that this is the best course of action. Doesn't seem like the type who will just blindly follow orders and do as he's told.
