I give Bud a little bit of credit for clearing out 135 but it was a weak division and he was huge for the weight. I think cruiserweight was a slightly tougher division to unify than when Bud did it at 140. Just Breidis was tougher than Postol and then gassiev was a better fighter than the fella from Angola. Then I think Buds run at ww is slightly better than Usyks at HW but Usyk is rapidly catching up and transcends all if he is undisputed after beating Fury - he'd be verging on an ATG. Course, if Bud beats Spence and/or Ortiz of Ennis that changes it all up again.

I totally disagree. Beating Joshua X 2, is more of an accomplishment than anything Bud has done @ 147!

Who gives a **** about increasing the "brand" of someone else when your getting paid hell of a lot more than your career high payday by 20x fold?Mall got 500k vs Dervy and $500K against montiel since then. How much financial sense does it make to turn down that type of offer for one off...unless of course they didn't have faith in him winning. Makes zero sense as thier ppv did ass and "Lions Only Promotion" is just a cute $30 dollar banner Al let's them hang here n there.
You are correct, but Andrade claimed that the Charlos were beneath him as his reason, and at the time none of them were making millions. He could have fought him and chose not to, but once he saw how much progress they made, with belts, publicity, and financially, during his inactivity; now he wants to fight and constantly calls them out.
Also, Jermall is signed to an exclusive contract with Showtime, so I assumed that his promotional company would be as well. He's right though, 7 million isn't enough to destroy his business dealings with Showtime and Al, and just the thought of taking that kind of backdoor deal that would increase the brand of someone he doesn't even like, win or lose, is sickening.
But years have passed, and Andrade is on Showtime now. So, I'm sure that is a part of the plan; they both could use the opportunity to gain public favor.
Andy ruiz hit the jackpot by Al Haymon not allowing Ortiz to take up the Joshua offer and made $17million in his 2 matches against Joshua and simply returned to fight on PBC cards. I gaurantee you Ortiz loses sleep every night because he allowed himself to be used as a pawn to solely benefit the PBC brand. Al has had Mall turn down $7mil for Andrade and $7mil for Canelo.....where tf is the logic in that?
Then there's Wilder...but that one's been beaten to death like Fury ended up doing to Wilder...Last edited by Sctrojan; 12-16-2022, 11:39 AM.Comment

I don’t get why it’s so hard to British sports fans to understand that these American fighters don’t want to sever their business relationship with Al Haymon. What’s not to understand about this? Eddie Hearn isn’t entitled to American fighters just because some British fanatical followers of Hearn want them to be

Obviously, Charlo, Showtime, and Al gave a fxck! Jermall is comfortable with their business relationships, and showed his loyalty by refusing Fast Eddie's offer for big money on DAZN. I know that this is hard for you to understand because of your hatred for Haymon, but his fighters tend to be extremely happy with their dealings. Haymon was already working on a mega-deal that he presented to Canelo for 100 million to fight Charlo and Benavidez. I 'm sure Jermall was going to get substantially more than the 7 million Fast Eddie offered.

"Was".....Charlo lost out on $14 million dollars because why again? And I don't hate anyone,Im just pointing out he has left a lot of money on the table for quite a few of his fighters for the "benefit" of hid brand.

Cinnabon turned it down, so goes life. Andrade is on Showtime now, so I'm sure that fight will be revisited.Comment
