That kind of confidence can get you knocked out against Tyson Fury.

No, it came from ideas floating inside my head. Butbyes, good example is valuev v haye.
Haye had more ability and skill than valuev, and people assuming fury is comparable to usyk in skill, but fury may not be. So if valuev size wasn't àn advantage, is it foregone conclusion fury size is an advantage?

From there, I can just see Fury wearing him down to late round stoppage.
That's how i see it as well. All the metrics I see favor Fury, although it could be a close fight.

Fury will have to be in his best game ever if he wants to win.

If Fury from Whyte and Chisora fights shows up, usyk wins.

I’ve been an admirer of both fighters’ abilities for years now. A couple of years ago I would never have imagined them fighting each other and certainly wouldn’t have picked Usyk to win. Now I feel like all the momentum is on his side and Fury is likely to take him lightly and think he’ll run through him like he did Wilder II. Usyk will not let him lean on him or push him to the ropes. He’ll turn him at the centre, and show the difference in speed. It’s not a foregone conclusion but I think Usyk will give him hell for 12 rounds.

Size is what size is.... I understand Fury being the favorite, and he should be. The man has overcome demons and Wilder KO blows landing flush. I respect him and know full well he is a mass of human determination, completely fearless in and out of the ring. He is the best hype man in boxing right now, and the sport needs more Tyson Fury-type fighters. The sport is better with him in it.

But Usyk has fought elite boxers in different styles. He has weathered being hurt. He has fought technical fighters he had to figure out and adjust to. So far, all the man has done is every single thing he has said he was going to do and accomplished it against whoever was the elite in the division. This is it. The last thing he said he was going to do- move to HW and unify it like he did the CW division. For all of Fury's built in advantages, bet against the focused, good humored, self disciplined and talented Oleksandr Usyk at your own risk.

A great big man beats a great small man. But does a great big man, beat a special small man, if usy k is special.? Or if fury is only very good, does a very good bi g man best a great small man?

I hope he does and retires undisputed. Would be epic. Fury’s act got old years ago, usyk is one foot out pending these last couple of matches and HW needs to start rebuilding for the next gen. Wilder, Joshua, and Fury could all go right now into retirement as far as I’m concerned unless they are fighting each other after this.

What do you think would have happened if Pacquiao or Crawford moved up and challenged Canelo?

That's pretty much how I see this. Usyk will start round 1 looking brilliant, but he'll end the fight looking beat up and bloody.

Skill for skill Usyk has had better preparation than Fury 'Coming into this fight'.

Fury has not fought at elite level skill for skill since Kiltschko.

Wilder was a elite level fight, but in terms of technical ability? Wilder is a not a elite level fighter.

And that is no disrespect to Wilder, because I rate him as a fighter.

Usyk has just had two 12 round fights back to back with Anthony Joshua.

Who people may mock, but from Mid-Long Range skill for skill Joshua is quite a capable boxer.

Fury has just fought Chisora, was unable to deck him or knock him out. And Chisora was clearly not in the condition he was for Usyk.

Chisora is a domestic to high end European level fighter. Whyte also skill for skill is not exactly a elite level fighter.

I don't really think all these stay busy fights of Fury's, have any carry over into the Usyk fight.
