We respect his skills; he is an Hall of Famer who earned his position through hardwork and dedication. That said, I'm a paying fan who appreciates his skill but wants to see it tested. We just want him to fight the best available opponent, that's all. He hasn't done that since forever.
Was hatton not someone they said had the style to beat Floyd? Did Baldomir not have the size and strength to beat Floyd? Did zab not have the speed to beat Floyd? Did Oscar not have the size, the gloves, the weight, and ring size to beat Floyd?

Before the fight, all these guys were test, but after the fight and they whatn't what people thought they were...now it's Floyd's fault.

Who is this best available opponent?

No it hasn't. SweetPea is still remembered today for greatness. SRL dodged Aaron Pryor and didn't fight Hagler for yrs until he saw a weakness. SRL admitted this himself and it has not hurt him. Roberto Duran quit in the ring and that didn't hurt him.

Floyd talks a lot of junk, but never disrespects the fight game. Comes to the fight in great shape, brawls break out and he is corner, never interrupts someone else interviews, and always shows them proper respect after the fight.

Look it up, after every fight he shows his opponents mad respect!

Hatton was not the best available opponent. I'm sorry you knew people who thought he could win. Big deal, there are always people like that. But everyone wanted to see Floyd fight a top welter. Not some guy who went life and death with a bottom top ten 147lber and then ran back to 140.

Baldomir wasn't the best available opponent either. Nor Zab. Geezus, who do you talk sports with? Same with Oscar...you kidding? When's the last time he had a significant win? I know you're a stan but give it a break. Only person that thought these guys were the best available opponent were apologists like you who have an excuse for every guy he fights.

Ì agree with some of what ur saying. I'd love to see Floyd in with the best and baddest. But the thing we all 4get is ts a business ... I hate that part, $ keeps us from the best fites going down, if they don't dance then the slit wasn't right, the networks didn't want it or maybe one guys names not a house hold name. Its all month
Money now. The best will not fite cause the networks, boxers, promoters don't care what we want if its not the biggest money at the time. This is what its come to. Btw.... Zab gave him problems for a minute.

I didn't say he dodged anybody. In his prime, he was not tested. he made it look easy.

i said SRL dodged some people!

even besides the business of the sport. I want somebody to name who he fought and who he should have fought. Cause when u look at it like that, then we can really see if he Floyd has been dodging people.

I remember the timelines...i remember what happened. I can bring up the articles!

                  So who was this best?

I tend to agree with this.

It is soooo easy to criticize in hindsight, as is evidenced by many a armchair warrior.

I also agree that beating Pac, Mosely, and even Hercules or Cerberus would not get Floyd this ever elusive "props" or "respect" that people keep saying he has to still earn from them.

Floyd is good for the sport of boxing. We should be thankful for him coming back. And he's met with all this ****** ****...

As if he gives a **** what abstractionist plebes think of him. lmao @ the arrogance of your average Floyd detractor. Like he personally has to prove himself to you. Get the tiniest bit of a grip, please.
