I've seen various reports that state the WBA are next in line in the unification rotation which is bad news for DDD. Hopefully the FuryUsyk undisputed unification get's made for this spring followed by Dubois & Hrgovic. However is there a rematch claus for Fury/Usyk? In an ideal World Dubois & Hrgovic would meet in a final elimination, but we're talking about Frank Warren & £ddie Hearn here so I wouldn't bank on it!

I support this decision, it doesn't derail Fury - Usyk because a unification will take precedence. It just means there may be a court battle over whose mandatory comes next, WBA or IBF. All fans should be behind seeing these 'regular' belts eliminated. There's six to go.Comment

Frank Warren will no doubt push for the Dubois fight with all his efforts to give Fury his secret Santa present of not matching him up with Usyk at all costs.Comment

Unification does not take precedence. That's a myth. If a governing body orders a mandatory, that takes precedence. A governing body doesn't have to sanction a unification if it doesn't want to, just because fans believe they should. That being said, an exemption can be applied for to put the mandatory back, to allow the undisputed fight. This will happen if all parties truly want the undisputed fight. It can be contested by Dubois, but won't be, as he's promoted by Warren, who obviously handles Fury. So, Dubois will get a nice little step aside cheque, and after his last performance it's in his best interests to take another fight anyway, as he's clearly not ready for Usyk yet. This will be OKd by the WBA if all parties are in agreement. Then the undisputed fight can happen. If Fury actually wants it. The WBA will then re- order the consolidation fight for the winner.Comment
