he doesn't beat any of the Top Guys at 140 IMO something I said even before this fight, I immediately posted "UPSET ALERT" when Sandor Martin was announced because that guy style is so tricky and it is the worst style to do with Period and Short Notice makes him even more difficult

Prograis, Matias, Puello, Ramirez, Taylor, Barboza...all beats Teo and I think Top Rank knows it but they do feel they can market him so they kinda just riding things out until

Fighters stop buying into your own hype, 99.9% of these guys are not that good in this ERA
He's reached his Naseem Hamed moment.

Some guys just can't handle the first loss.

Teo looks good with face-first fighters that don't throw enough.

Any other style is Kryptonite for him.

Think Teo done at the top level. He refuse to use his jab, and seem to just be mentally weak.

His coach ain't the problem, it's him and whatever going on inside his head. He has the behavior of a ex drug addict

Haven’t seen this fight yet but I’m not surprised. The guys saying he’s not mentally right or w/e obviously weren’t paying attention to Lopez against the guys like you mentioned, Nakatani, who arguably beat him. Or even Magdaleno for the little he did. Kid has plenty of the physical attributes, but he has never shown the skill or intelligence.

The danger of having an over inflated ago.

The win over Loma was a curse. In my opinion, having rewatched it again, it was Loma being very hesistant rather than Lopez being exceptionally good.

Lopez' level is Kambosos and that's where he met his true ceiling.

That Lomachenko injury did ****e up the division somewhat though; 4 different unified champions in what, 18 months?

Teo sadly looking down after was even more telling than the question he asked.

He reacted the same way after the Nakatani fight.

Not even close. He said some dumb **** about having booboos and not wanting to fight tall fighters or something along those lines. Wasn't nearly as dejected and lost looking at this post-fight clip.

Teo should keep away from Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall and go straight for "Rougarou" Regis Prograis. That's the fight that should be made at 140.

140 is a heck of a division. This kid needs to kick his imbecile father to the curb and get with a real trainer. Roach could probably put all the offensive weapons to good use for Teo but he's also mentally challenged at the moment. Dude has depression issues and was or is going through the family stuff which can obviously mess with your head. I think the kid has the talent, he just needs the right trainer and execution.

As others have mentioned: 1) he was used to being the bigger man during his success and now he's no longer the bigger man, 2) the lack of a jab, plodding foot movement and poor technique scream that he needs a new trainer, and 3) he appears to be way too mentally fragile in adversity.

As much as I enjoy listening to his father provide insight such as "get this mutha f#cka!" in between rounds, I think a good start would be to get a new trainer.
