i ordered this fight, oddly enough, larios actually stunned pac in that fight, pac picked up the pace later in the fight, he certainly wasnt at his best IMO, the fight was largly forgettable and Larios was well past it after having fought Vasquez in that trilogy on that roy jones/tarver III undercard.

Pac is a solid 140 pounder for f.ucks sake! Can you imagine having to have faced him at 130, 126, 112?

Check out his fight with Sasakul. Now that is a Paul Williams size difference.
Someone pointed out, i think it was silencers, that pac, mayweather, hatton and a few others would likely be welterweight in the old days of 8 weight classes. mayweather and pac would be 3 weight champs, from featherweight, welterweight and lightweight. that would be incredible though, consider the type of comp they would have faced.

Pac made 122 when he fought Sanchez. He made 126 when fought Barrera and made 130 when he fought Morales.

Floyd couldn't even make the contracted 144 catchweight when he fought a lightweight.

so ur criteria for having a great win is for sum perceived great fighter is for him to fight sum1 in his own weight class regardless of the caliber of the fighter? if it is, then assuming cotto wins over MP, his win over jennings was greater?

Why does Floyd get **** for not KOing Marquez? Marquez has NEVER been KO'd, Floyd was coming off a 2-year layoff, and he is a a BOXER, not a PUNCHER like Pac. Oh, did I mention JMM was ranked #2 p4p?

Do you people (especially *******s) really think what Floyd/JMM even begins to compare with the Pac/Larios situation?
You seem to forget that the only reason that fight happened was because at the time there was a lawsuit over Pac's promotional rights between Top Rank and Golden Boy.

The result was Pacquiao's US boxing liscense being suspended and being unable to fight in the US for about 2 years. He would have been fighting Barrera for the WBC belt had it not happened and Marquez would probably be retired already due to his inability to get fights if he had never won the belt from Barrera in Pacquiao's place.

...I dont remember reading or seeing any news of pacs US liscense being suspended and the reasons you stated would have had nothing to do with that. explain how he fought erik morales, then larios, then morales a 3rd time if his liscense was revoked due to a promotional dispute, that makes absolutely no sense.

He fought larios to stay busy and that was basically it. And no, marquez would not be retired due to his ability to not get fights, i dont know how long you have followed the sport, but when marquez was fighting guys like victor polo on showtime, he was still getting tv time once in awhile, the idea that he would retire for a reason like that, i think you are playing way to much defense here.

pac/larios was a tune up and nobody is basing pac's p4p #1 on that fight.

floyd/jmm was a tune up and floyd stans think that win makes floyd the G.O.A.T.

that's the difference. keep **** in perspective son.

why the **** are we arguing why cotto faced michael jennings after eating 11 rounds worth of concrete? i dont care if he fought kevin kelly after that beating, he needed to come back with some confidence.
