i think they just trying to lighten up Cotto's chin, Cotto shouldn't have to make the 145lb Cotto can pay the difference. It'll probaly hurt his pocket but its worth it once he beats Manny's ass.

In my opinion I think Manny will still fight Cotto even if he doesn't reach 145lbs. But for sure there will be penalty for that. I know Pacquiao si warrior just like Marquez..

It must make some kind of difference because Manny had no problem fighting at 147lb against the Golden boy. Now he wants Cotto to go down.
I agree the belt should not be on the line if Cotto didn't want to put it on the line. Like Cotto said if he wants the belt fight at 147. So you right.

He fought Oscar at 147 cuz 1 Oscar was a Jr MW and 2 Oscar was old. He was shot. Cotto is a way bigger threat than Oscar. Same reason why roach would let Pac figth Chavez Jr at a catchweight of 150. And, not fight Mosley above 144. Cuz Mosley would be a bigger threat than Chavez Jr.

I have no problem with the fight at 145. I think it makes it a fair fight at that weight. I don't Cotto will be drained and weak for getting down to 145. But, I agree the belt should not be on the line.

Yeah the belt shouldn't be on the line but Cotto still agreed with it. So what can the funs do?
