I don't think these promoters and their companies are going to lay down for wwe to acquire them like what wwe did to indie wrestling studios. These boxing promoters have a lot of pull and have deep pockets. wwe also has no idea about boxing outside of knowing the names of the more famous boxers. I have stopped watching wwe since 2015. I tuned in a few weeks back out of curiosity, and I was appalled at the quality of their shows. They need to worry about putting on better, more intriguing shows and not let aew one up them.

I don't see how in the world Wrestling, UFC, MMA, can help or improve boxing in any way shape or form.
I used to love Wrestling, but I don't anymore because there's just to much trash talking in the ring before the matches.
The build up is to long, and overdrawn killing the match itself at least for me.
It's amazing to me how much I used to love Wrestling, and how much I don't care for it now!

Floyd and HHH are really good friends. Keep your eye on this.

Agree that what she's talking about is likely not going to bear fruit.

HOWEVER...if they could convince HBO to get back in, that might be a thing.

It's crazy to think, but boxing was far superior when the mobs pulled strings.

In their defense, The McMahon’s started promoting boxing first before wrestling with Jess McMahon.

Buy up/take controlling stakes in all the sanctioning bodies including the minor ones. Discontinue them all except the original Big Three. Give the existing presidents ceremonial positions but on the premise that there be no shenanigans (i.e. dodgy rankings and bogus belts). Priority be given to establishing undisputed champions and thus new lineages in every division.

As the article says Vince killed off the territories to become the biggest pro wrestling show in town.

If they could do that in boxing if would change the game.

That's pretty much how boxing is these days.

Big fights take forever to make, so they talk trash on social media to milk as much interest from fans for as long as they can.

I lost so much interest in Spence vs. Crawford. I went from "genuine excitement" for this fight to "I just hope they fight to get it over with."

That would be cool but the return on investment in boxing is simply terrible. A lot of wealthy people and large promoters have fell on their face trying to get into boxing like Jay z. However WWE is a public company and they cannot afford to waste shareholder money. So I would love to see it but I doubt it happens. Also boxing in general just does not get big ratings anymore
