Valuev is extremely difficult to hit cleanly with power punches, due to his height, reach, a powerful jab, and ability to lean back out of the way of punches. If Haye lunges in to try to knock him out, he's likely to be picked off and eventually worn down. Also, he doesn't want to get into too many clinches, because Valuev's huge physical strength would gradually drain Haye.
Haye's best chance is to circle on the outside, and dart in with flurries. He should be able to land a lot of body punches and a few uppercuts that way, but is unlikely to be able to land hard enough doing that to seriously hurt Valuev. I'd be very surprised if Haye gets the KO, but he should be able to win on points.
OTOH, if Haye wants to get a fight with the Klits, he has to make a real statement against Valuev, so he'll have to try to get the KO in the later rounds. But it's a big ask, IMO.
